Let's make a deal. In the spirit of this board. No Posts about TC. Unless it goes public via press or social media (and even there make sure it's TC or his family). PM people if you must. Of course, any post that concentrates solely on the open scholarship is fine. Whatever the reason, he's gone and it's available. I do not follow why the topic should be off limits. There have been a lot of players who have left school/transferred out over the years - Bobby Kelly, O'Shea, the Nebraska kid, Kevin Stacom, even King Gastons for heaven sakes. The reasons for those players leaving were never off limits. What am I missing?

The reasons for those players leaving were never off limits. What am I missing? Here's the thing. It's enough for me (and most of us) to know he's not on the team anymore. That he was "dismissed" suggests something went wrong, but I don't feel I'm missing anything by not knowing what exactly that was. Hypothetically speaking, any poster who knows something is not going to talk about it, certainly not in this forum. So if you want to play "20 questions," you'll succeed at building your post count, but that's all. Speculation serves no useful purpose. Let's move on.

Not going to lock the thread, at least not now, but will remind everyone of the board rules again.
7. This is not a rumor board. While speculation is a fact of life on message boards, there is a fine line not to cross. Issues of academic standing, intra-team issues, or personal information unsuitable in a public forum concerning recruits, student-athletes, coaches, or staff are unwelcome and may be pulled without warninng.
If you don't know what happened or do know and don't want to post how you know, don't post it here.

Nothing "lock the thread;" what a bunch of babies. No, it is simply the board jerks that cannot help themselves. Good to see you staying true to form teamer. Merry Christmas!

At some point, it will inevitably come out why TC is gone from Holy Cross from a reliable and public source. These things don't stay secret forever. Until then, everything is just speculation and guessing, which serves no useful purpose but could be detrimental to reputations.

Geez, lock the thread? Let's remember how Jahaad Proctor was treated when he had the temerity to bolt from HC? Imagine the barbs directed against CSK or CMB if they had recruited TC? This thread would be 20 pages long already. Look, for those wanting to protect the coaches and AD, feggedaboutit. It's not their fault. The kid is responsible for his own actions, whatever they were. Coach Carmody is not the father figure maybe to some of these kids like CMB was, but anything that TC did is on his plate, not the coach. The kid from Duke kicked three players. Coach K's fault? Don't be silly. There are already fall transfers coming out, like MC, who could enroll in January, maybe we'd be interested in one? verbalcommits.com/players/tom-wilson

Unless someone tremendous becomes available via transfer, I suspect we'll use the one scholarship for the currently-empty 2018 class.

uhh, I don't think so . . . . maybe "older brother" but hardly a father figure. CMB is only slightly older than my kids, one of whom is a college professor. I am pretty sure his students don't think of him as a "father figure." The way I hear it, the kids "loved" Milan but they "respect" Bill.

Like the T&G saying Champ Godbolt was ruled ineligible (sic) or King Gaskins got arrested (Hell, no, I don't think TC did that). Or the kid posts something on Facebook, that sort of thing.

Cohen is no longer listed on the roster. That happened late yesterday - he was there in the afternoon. Whatever has happened, I wish him well in the future.

Given the severity of being dismissed, and I have no idea what happened to warrant dismissal, I think one needs to know more before a blanket wishing him well. Cheers.

Does the dismissal hurt our graduation rate?

He was there in the afternoon? Where? If you read my full post, it contained the answer. It was posted by someone that he was no longer "listed on the roster." I merely clarified when he was removed. "Where" would be the roster.

I try not to judge others and whatever the case, I do wish him well. I try to forgive the trespasses of others as I would like mine to be forgiven.

Does the dismissal hurt our graduation rate? Here is what the NCAA Says on the graduation rate: "The student-athlete graduation rate calculated directly based on IPEDS-GRS (which is the methodology the U.S. Department of Education requires) is the proportion of first-year, full-time student-athletes who entered a school on athletics aid and graduated from that institution within six years. I believe that means it will hurt the rate slightly...but only 6 years from now.
