Still nothing on the Buffalo site regarding cancellation or moving their home game against Akron this Saturday. 4-6 FEET of snowfall projected between now and Sunday. You'd think moving the game to Akron would make the most sense. Or maybe they'll postpone to Sunday or Monday. The Bills moved their Sunday home game against the Browns to Detroit, not because of game-time weather forecast but because the NFL and Bills organization don't want the game day event to take resources away from the surrounding community in the wake of this storm, which wouldn't be as big an issue for a MAC football game. Gov. Hochul has obviously declared a state of emergency for the Buffalo and Watertown areas which are expected to be hit the hardest. The guys on ESPNU radio today said Akron was taking busses up to Buffalo today rather than flying and would be staying several nights to avoid travel delays. Not sure on the accuracy of it all but they seemed to suggest the only contingency plan was to leave earlier to avoid the worst of the snow. Flying from Akron to Buffalo would seem to be killing fleas with grenades, wouldn't it? Would be like HC flying from Worcester to JFK to play Fordham.

Maybe the payouts from getting drubbed by the Spartans and Vols meant they got to fly to all of their MACtion games!

216 miles-definitely faster and easier to drive Not to mention probably no direct commercial flights so you'd be connecting in O'Hare, Philly or LGA on a trip that's a 3.5 hour bus ride.

Buffalo could have become Bowl Eligible with a win over the hapless Zips. Sunday makes sense if Akron is riding out the storm in Buffalo. I'd rather watch a snow bowl than Cleveland and the Bills battling it out from Ford Field in Detroit. That being said, I understand the resources necessary to hold a game and those resources are needed for snow removal and rescues (I think I heard the national guard has been activated already). On the morning news looks like things are adding up already in Orchard Park where the Bills play.

I'll try and get the final regular season standings up tonight.
2 queries, I haven't looked, has the Buffalo game been cancelled? Are people up for a FCS Playoff Pick 'em?

They give enough waivers for other situations regarding "bowl eligible"-ness that I would think they'd have no problem granting one here if another team is needed in the ever-expanding bowl lineup.
Is there such thing as a 6 win team in FBS not getting a bid these days?

Lets move there with Academies Fordham Richmond William and Mary Villanova Richmond Others?? 'Gate? If you would accept state schools it would make sense to take UNH, UConn, and UMess.
