NDSU 31 Samford 10 Sac State 46 UIW 45 (OT) => HC-Fordham-like ending W&M 36 Montana State 33 South Dakota State 41 Holy Cross 24
Let me take a minute to vent for a quick minute about how the committee totally swung and missed on the opportunity to seed HC and Sacramento for a prospective QF matchup. After, what 30 years of HC chit chat "wouldn't it be cool if one day we played each other in the playoffs and the 1969 hepatitis story were revisited? Awesome, right! And this was the chance, and it was totally blown. SAD! Sac just as easily could've been the #1 seed over Montana State, just like we easily could've been the #7 seed over UIW. All they had to do was flip-flop ONE of those two. I'm sure that a) Sac State would rather be preparing to play Holy Cross right now instead of Fordham on steroids with a good defense. And we'd much rather be prepping for Sac State than what's starting to sound more and more like this invincible team in Brookings.

2010, I am guessing that you are young enough to have never heard about the '69 season except through Crossports or an older relative. It's not discussed in the HC AD and Kit knows because my Class told him about it. And he's the AD. He wouldn't know otherwise. How many on the selection committee are: 1. old enough to know about anything that happened in 1969 2. have any connection whatsoever with HC or Sac State football other than maybe 2 of them in the same conference. 3. Do you think anyone at HC or Sac State told their selection committee reps from their conference about it? Bet not. 4. and besides all that, do they care even if they know it. At least enough to put a tweak to their decision It'd be nice and I'm sure you've read my posts about my trip out there years ago but I don't blame the selection committee. Oh, finally, when did the NCAA last do a good thing?

NDSU Sac. St. W&M Holy Cross I LOVE this! That means I'm flying down to Richmond next weekend and taking in some Christmas lights at Colonial Williamsburg after we beat the Tribe. Here's hoping/praying...

NDSU Sac. St. W&M Holy Cross I'll stick with my picks, but I'd love to have a Final Four without any of the upper-Midwest schools participating. Pulling for the Bulldogs, Hornets (Cardinals would also work, but would thwart the Sac. St. v. HC final), Tribe and Crusaders.

Missed last weeks picks, but I'll jump back in.
NDSU Sac St W&M SDSU (this is a head over heart pick, unless someone packed the Holy Hand grenade of Antioch to take care the killer Jackrabbits, in which case all bets are off!)
