Huge win. Could also help us in a tiebreaker with AFA or other teams at the end of the year as we have now won the season series against a team that should be in the hunt in the league.

Another excellent hockey game to watch, two nights in a row. HC played very strong and tough skating hockey against a very good Air Force team. Another good crowd was on hand with a number of local hockey enthusiasts from Worcester County. These type of games put the ECHL to shame...... Keep it going against West Point next weekend !!

Coach seems to feel that Army will be a tougher opponent than Air Force. Any thoughts on that?

Coach seems to feel that Army will be a tougher opponent than Air Force. Any thoughts on that? My guess would be there won't be a huge difference between AFA and Army at the end of the season and that we'll be in that same group. They split a two-game series at West Point earlier in the year. Army also got swept by RIT. They have cleaned up on some of the weaker sisters of the league, going 5-0 against AIC, Canisius and Sacred Heart. Yes, I know we went 0-1-1 against AIC.

Thanks, 92. I wondered if the coach was just trying to get the team fired up for the next opponent.

The Army goalie led the ENTIRE nation last year in save percentage. He is pretty good!

The Army goalie led the ENTIRE nation last year in save percentage. He is pretty good! This year, the Army goalie, Parker Gahagen, is #1 in shutouts, #3 in GAA, and #4 in SVP. Pretty good! Army is also #2 in Team Defence behind Bemidji. I remember the playoff series last year at the Hart. Army's defence and neutral zone work gave us fits. I don't think they have the talent on offence or the overall performance to make a huge splash, but they will be good and their D will keep them near the top of the conference. After they bounced us in the playoffs last year, I thought they might win the conference and be a surprise team in the tourney (defence wins championships! Look at the Sioux).
