Former Dayton and Georgia Tech coach Brian Gregory to South Florida. Surprising.Leaving the ACC. Overachieved this season. Must have seen the futility of competing with the powers Josh Pastner was coaching GT this season. Gregory was a consultant for Michigan State this year -- probably the same kind of role Sean Kearney has with Colorado.

It seems like $75K in cases like this is chicken feed..usually they sue for a hell of a lot more and settle for less...especially if they bring an entity like Umass into it somehow. At one point (perhaps now too), the lady was a hs track coach at Amherst Regional You have to plead an amount in excess of $75K to trigger the jurisdiction of the federal court. The number has nothing to do with what the plaintiff might actually be seeking or receive. whoops

Not really connected. The teams never seem to improve, we've never been in the Top 4 in the A10. DK is just not an X's and O's guy and did not hire an assistant with that strength.

In terms of Power 5 conference teams, tough to win at Cal...thought it was a dumbass move him leaving Tennessee in the first place.

Ben Braun went to NCAA Tournaments in five of 12 seasons. Mike Montgomery in four of six seasons. Martin once in three seasons. There are definitely harder places to win.

Braun and Montgomery are noted for their Xs and Os, Martin for his recruiting.

It's not an inspiring hire but I would argue Missouri being Frank Haith-like (talented and poorly coached) is better than untalented and poorly coached (yes i realize Haith had NCAA violations etc).

Lorenzo Romat out at UW after 15 seasons. Big recruiting war will now ensue for michael Porter (and his father a now former UW assistant) Porter is one of the best hs players I have seen in a while--a definite NBA lottery pick, maybe No. 1-a Ben Simmons who can shoot

Bet that the Porters will be heading to Missouri. A NLI was signed at UW, however.

UW will probably let him out of it There is some disagreement as to whether Porter actually did sign a NLI, regardless they will probably let him out of it if he did.

Wonder if IU will break the bank in an attempt to lure Brad Stevens back to his home state?

You cannot match the NBA for $...Stevens is happy doing what he's doing (or a complete liar).
Expect the $ to be broken for Steve Alford, however.
