Red Sox make a big move for Chris Sale. Yankees sign Chapman. Giants sign Melancon. Mets re-sign Cespedes. And no one cares? Baseball may truly be dead.
On a related note, of the SoCal baseball parks (Padres, Dodgers, Angels), in what order would you prioritize visiting them if you were taking a trip out there during the season? Kids would be involved if that changes your answer.

Chavez Ravine (Dodgers) first 92 by far. Outstanding place and views. Drips character
San Diego #2 (visit gas lamp district), and Anaheim dead last, as it's basically a charmless city of strip malls reminiscent of Rt. 9 in Framingham.

Only one I would go to is Chavez Ravine.
Not much excitement about player acquisitions, since all but Sale were expected. I had thought the Nats would mortgage the farm to get Sale and a pennant, but I was wrong. It does seem to make the Sox the team to beat next season.

If Cespedes spent a contract year turning doubles into singles with a lack of effort, what will he do now that he got paid?

It's true that Cespedes playing left field is not a thing of beauty, but according to statistics noted by the team at the time of the signing, the Mets record with Cespedes in the line-up was far better than when he was sitting on the bench with an injury.
