Let’s announce tomorrow that we plan to hire the coach of the winner of Keene State vs Swarthmore. But give the Nichols coach the chance to beat the winner of that tussle in the Final (Little?) Four?

Babson lost as well, 72-60.
Steven Brennan's another man similar to Jay Lawson at Bentley. Has had great success (D3 National Champs a few years ago) but has decided that Wellesley Hills is a place to stay.

Keene State at Swarthmore, March 10th, 7:15 PM. A good break for the Garnet, since they host this sectional - that said, they lost to Keene State at home in the opening round last year.
Other games of interest, all on March 10.
Nichols vs. Stockton, 4:15 (Swarthmore, PA)
Johns Hopkins vs. Wisconsin-Whitewater, 4:00 (Ashland, VA) Christopher Newport vs. Mary Hardin-Baylor, 7:30 (Newport News, VA*)
* Christopher Newport home court.

I’m not sure a PL team except for Colgate would win the D3 tourney. In fact I’d bet no others would.

Chesapeake (27-4) routed Garrett College (19-12), 84-62, in the Region 20 quarterfinals. The 12th ranked Skipjacks held Garrett under 40% from the field, were +8 on the boards, and made 21 of 23 FTs.
They'll play Cecil College in the semis on Friday.

Wait, this is about coaching? I thought with all these D-3 promos this was about next year's schedule.....

Wait, this is about coaching? I thought with all these D-3 promos this was about next year's schedule..... Truthfully, we’d struggle to go .500 playing against all of these teams.

Wait, this is about coaching? I thought with all these D-3 promos this was about next year's schedule..... No. The teams mentioned are far too competitive.

Imagine if the Nutmeg State scored a hat trick with three basketball national championships? The Courant sports staff would be stretched thin if St. Joe's and the two Huskie squads all make their final fours.

Maybe Conn. is a different animal than Mass.; but when Babson won it all a few years, it was largely unrecognized by the both the tabloid (Herald) and the broadsheet (Globe). I didn't learn about the accomplishment from either of those, that's for sure.

They might let them be in the UConn parade but no one would be there to see them.
