Niagara upset SHU on the road 7-3 last night to win the series Canisius beat Army 3-0 and will host Niagara this weekend in the other semi 1196 fans attended the SHU playoff finale at the 3600 seat $70 million Martire Family Arena. Build it and some will come but not all. The Pioneers final home game last year in Bridgeport vs Army (regular season) drew 853. So, the excitement of the league tournament and a new arena only generated 343 more fannies in seats. SHU has the new barn but HC is still skating. Thanks Coach Riga.

LS, don't you realize the 3rd game of a series is not known until the 2nd game result is known ?? People would have to make plans on the spot to attend on a Sunday night Also, it might have been the beginning of spring break at SHU Why don't you look at their attendance numbers for all the games since the opening on Jan 14 - you'll find most were 4000 + sellouts

I'm glad we've got Coach Riga.
