How can one fault Mudd for transferring to BC?
Arguably a better school, bigger conference / program, he's getting some money, and it sounds like a school he's always wanted to go to. Good for Tyler. Don't really see him playing at all there given what he showed at HC...but dream big, young man.
If he was transferring to, say, Bryant or Stonehill -- then, sure, a head-scratcher.

Well, he is getting guys out in the Cape League which is at least ACC caliber of play on most nights. He is 0-1 with a save and a 3.93 ERA in seven appearances totaling 16 innings. In four of the appearances, he has not allowed a run. He will get bullpen time for the Eagles in my opinion as a lefty specialist type.

He is quoted as saying "I couldn’t really find a better place than Boston College." Actually he did when he chose Holy Cross. Of course, if HC offered no money and BC did, then he should perhaps have said he was following the money, not to make a misstatement of facts. It's not like he married a Protestant or anything.🙂 He gets to decide which college is best for him like we all did.
