I heard that the ACC network replayed the game yesterday afternoon.

Not a math major but don’t think your math is correct as to “the cost of the game.” You seem to be proportioning out the total athletics budgets of the schools rather than the cost of each football budget. What does ice hockey, LAX, basketball, etc. have to do with the cost of this event? While we don’t know what BC paid HC, at least I don’t, presumably it was enough to cover all or a great portion of our expenses. BC on the other hand, got a nice and probably bigger crowd than usual, so that worked out well for them and hopefully (for them) helped defray their payment to us. Yeah, I would think we got the better of the deal other than we lost by 3 points and could have won but not sure your logic works. “Cost of the game” has to be minimal for HC as travel expenses were just the costs of bus and truck transportation from 40 miles away. This game has to be a significant financial windfall for HC

I'll toss in "on average across all sports" before my statement that HC pays 27.5% of the cost of a game vs BC. It only costs us 33 mil for a D-1 sports program while it costs them 87 mil. Anyway you look at it other than the poor branding of frequent losses, it's a bargain for HC and costs less to schlep to Chestnut Hill than Lewisburg or Hamilton.

What specific behavior is he referring to? The ‘hand motion’ (and I am not referring to his penalized pointing/taunting with this euphemism) is really not something you see every day on the football field and I’m guessing that is the specific behavior. Really an embarrassment to the team and school. .It definitely happened and I think it slipped by the officials and the BC sideline; speculation by some on the BC board that he would have been out of there if they saw it. Others say it was seen and Hafley refused to pull the trigger, which has a good chance of biting him in the ass later. Want to see how Castellanos holds up against a high level defensive line, such as what he's probably going to be facing this weekend.

Sort of visible on the broadcast (a side view) and the color commentator started alluding to it. They didn’t do a replay (for obvious reasons). I think it immediately followed the taunting penalty but I’m not positive. It was definitely not penalized (the ref missed it). You may not have had a good view from your particular seat in the stands. Rather unusual display so the apology from Castellanos is not surprising (I’m certain Hafley will say he didn’t see it at the time).

BC getting 23 points vs FSU
We are closing the gap and doing it the right way with true student athletes
As an aging young man, only in terms of posting eligibility, I am all in for the future of HC Football/hoops and baseball
Perhaps before I move or pass on we can replicate in part what my dad’s teams did in the 40s and 50s
If not I would love us to give it a run
I don't care about the Brooks era dreams, as they have fallen well short, I want us to win and truly represent that men and women for others can have it all✝️✝️✝️✝️

I had a tough time Saturday going from the West Lot to my seat. Is it much further than that at BC? My knee is a prime candidate for replacement and my mobility is becoming more and more of an issue. Crosser - I had my knee replaced yesterday. Was home before 10, despite having trouble with CVS filling my pain med Rx. Knee feels about as bad today as it did the day before the surgery, but at least I know it will get better every day. I’ve now done both knees and both hips - paying for my years of football, shot put and 25 years of baseball umpiring. My best advice is to do it as soon as the pain alters basic quality of life activities - walking stairs, sleeping, getting up. Good luck!

I'll be the guy that actually states what he did instead of continuing to call it a hand motion. He simulated jerking off toward our bench.

I may someday join in the multiple joint replacement club as I’ve got one knee that’s bone on bone and a hip and the other knee that are starting to act up. I had my 2nd cortisone shot last week, but the first one only provided relief for a couple months. At least I’ll be able to make the trip from the a West Lot Saturday with no trouble. I am making that first leap in the spring as I have an April surgery date. I do wish I’d decided this years ago.

'81 -- I know you'll get better fast because you know what to expect and what you need to do. I'm having a knee replaced in November. It won't be my first rodeo. I've had the other replaced, a rotator cuff in one shoulder repaired, the other shoulder replaced, and nine vertebrae in my back fused. I know the routine by now, well enough to know that for a few days oxycodone immediate release will be my best friend.
Crosser -- Yep, most people wait too long to get it done.

Jim Nairus replaced my friend's knee. Took a long time because the pandemic intervened, but he's doing fine.
