From these photos it doesn't look like Stonehill had another team on the field.

If you can believe it, there isn’t a huge amount of interest buzzing around field hockey. Football has more eyeballs. I know, it’s crazy to me, too.

HC lost their Scottish frosh star with a ball to the head. Brown appears to have broken a 0-0 tie with 3:13 left in the 3rd ;period but they are having a long review befire saying the goal was good.

Officials review was "inconclusive" and the game is still a 0-0 tie. 2:45 left in ther third period.

Even rgs might agree with me that the talent difference between Brown and HC in that FH game was amazing - our goalie had to stand on her head to avoid a bad loss such as we had vs Northeastern on Friday Shots discrepancy today 37-9 (SOG 20-3)

Haze, I am not sure if you are speaking to me or just about me...but I do agree that without our senior goalie (who had 18 saves today) this would have been a 4 or 5 goal loss at Brown in regulation. It was her strong play that brought HC within one minute of stealing a win today.

One-sided loss today to BU 4-0 - stats heavily on the Terriers' favor. We're 2-4 and 0-1 in the PL

Aren’t we thrilled BU joined the PL?
Otherwise, no Turnpike Trophy to shoot for.😉

Just hope BU is periodically polishing the Turnpike Trophy or else it could be brown by now. Unless it's made out of recycled Macadam.

BU is not a rival, so to me the trophy has no meaning Holy Cross rivals are: After the recent football game I will start with BC. Because of the DeMorat-Sluka rivalry I will add Fordham. Because they have been two time playoff dance partners and the third time is hopefully the charm, I will suggest SDSU. Because of the great Willard vs Flannery/Paulsen teams and the PL return of DP this season I will throw in Bucknell. Because we play them in more sports than BU, although not annually in each sport, and they are down the road in the 617, I suggest Harvard. Because they are Catholic, in-state and take D-1 sports as seriously as their budget allows I suggest Merrimack. Because the Veteran's Day tilt promises to be as memorable as several other HC- Army football games have been and they are in-league for the other sports, I nominate AWP. Because after Saturday we will have played them more than any other FB foe, and they stand between us and the MBB big dance I suggest Colgate. In hockey I would say AIC with aspirations for more. In WBB it's been the Terriers the past two seasons.

You just made a strong case that we don't have an athletic rival anymore.

You just made a strong case that we don't have an athletic rival anymore. Don't you think the juniors on the Yale football team are setting their jaws (in Bulldog fashion) and promising each other they will finally get a win against the Crusaders before they graduate? Each player only gets four* years to play so a rivalry that exists during their playing career will always be a rivalry. It doesn't have to exist for eons. BTW, HC has a five game losing streak against Yale in MBB so the world is upside down.

Considering most of the current players were in grade school last time HC played Yale, 2014; not very relevant.

Huge win over first place Lehigh - 3-0. The HC keeper stopped 17 penalty corners. The team looked great throughout.
