Was Gill Fenerty the last Crusader to be responsible for 6 TDs when he rushed for 337 yards and the 6 TDs vs Columbia 40 years ago ?

not sure which is more baffling: our SOS is higher than previous years yet we get an HM or that SDSU is ranked 4. Can't take that too seriously I think.

Its a joke...I thought perhaps it was based on, as pointed out in another thread, SDSU's weak schedule thus far (only 3 games including a D2 and a cupcake), however that same page puts out their own top 25 and SDSU was 1 this week, why not a 1 seed? And similarly, we were ranked 5 and only warrant a honorable mention? Its one thing when the seeding committee's seeds may not align with the polls...the polls aren't exclusively theirs...but for the same page to vary so much on its own calls into question their judgment

Believe our SOS was south of 100 last year. 

"Non-league play is essentially in the books." Maria has put AWP into the PL FB conference. I like it. I guess she is covered with the disclaimer of "essentially" but the hoped for win at West Point will be even sweeter as the Black Knights are members of the PL in other sports.

This week's game will be huge. Both teams have had two weeks to prepare and heal. We will see quality football. The PL game of the year will be in Worcester once again just like last year. Go Cross!

Our lovely PL reporter indicates that in a 4-way tie scenario, Lafayette gets the bid. Can someone explain why this would be the case?

With HC, Lafayette, Georgetown and Colgate all 4-2 in the league, they would have the following records against fellow co-champs:

HC: 1-2
Georgetown: 1-2
Lafayette: 2-1
Colgate: 2-1

So, if you pit the two schools who went 2-1 against the group against each other, Colgate beat Lafayette H2H. So why wouldn't they win the tie-break for the auto-bid? If you look below, Colgate and Lafayette would clearly tie under the criteria laid out under A below. If then, head-to-head is eschewed, the next highest ranked team would be Fordham (tied for 5th with Lehigh but with H2H), which both schools would have beaten. Then Lehigh would be 6th, who Lafayette would've lost to but Colgate beat. So again, how is Colgate not the playoff rep in this case?


Football Tiebreaker Information

a. If a tie exists, the higher seed will go to the team that won the most head-to-head League contest(s) played against the other team(s) involved in the tie.



b. If a tie still exists, a comparison of League records will be made between the tied institutions starting at the highest seed and continuing through the lowest seed, if necessary.



c. If a tie still exists, a comparison of records against common out-of-league opponents will be made.



d. If a tie still exists, a committee consisting of the athletics directors of each of the institutions not involved in the tie will make a final decision. The committee should consider various factors including, but not limited to, the following examples. Note: the examples are listed in no particular order:

1. strength of schedule

2. overall record

3. computer rankings

4. performance during second half of season The committee will meet immediately following the conclusion of the final game of the season’s final weekend. A majority vote of the members of the committee will be needed to determine the champion.
