with students away, don't know what kind of crowd will show up. can't let up against a sub-par niagara team which has won only 2 games all season. we need all four points to get our league record over .500

Anything less than two victories this weekend versus Niagara will be unacceptable.

3-1 win tonight. Outshot them 35-19. A solid performance start to finish. Now go for four points vs Niagara. I admit being a bit nervous when Niagara scored to make it 2-1. GO CROSS!

Announced attendance at yesterday's game was 541.
That appears to be overstated by a factor of 10, but perhaps they count toes as well.
A bold assertion, you say?
There are excerpts of the game in the post-game interview with the coach. In some of the excerpts, row after row of phantom fans enthusiastically cheering on the Crusaders can be spotted.
For the Friday night game, again looking at the video excerpts shown as part of the post-game press conference, I'll give HC ther benefit of the doubt, and say there were 77 fans in attendance, not 777.
I suspect this may be prima facie evidence that perhaps 90 percent of those attending a HC home ice hockey game are students (when school is in session).

Give it a rest phreak. Love how you conveniently leave out that there was a blizzard and a foot of snow in Worc last nite. Rather than taking your angle, I'll take the angle of giving props to the Cub Scout troop who made it to the game. @hcrossmhockey: It was great meeting the pack of Cub Scouts that braved the blizzard outside to support our team! t.co/lJQZ1oOYXJ

Took me an hour to get from Marlboro back to my office...usually takes 20 minutes and this was at 3:30...no way I was making that trip to HC

My principal point was that the announced attendance at the Friday and Saturday games against Niagara appeared to be grossly inflated.
I was spurred to look at the attendance because posters noted that 777 was the attendance for Friday's (a benign weather day for mid-winter Worcester) game. Posters have asserted that students support ice hockey more than basketball. And thus I thought that an attendance of 777, with nearly all students away, demonstrated damned good support by the local populace for college ice hockey (albeit played in a league without the cachet of HE.)
(The inflation of actual attendance is not limited to ice hockey, BTW).
