Taking care of the ball (four turnovers).
Getting to the line (23 times. More than Loyola).
Making free throws (16-23).
Bo and Kenney were tremendous. Nugent and Batch drilled some big threes.
Great performance on offense.

Well, that was a fun game! This amateur observer sees a lot to like in how the Crusaders handled themselves today. We are getting better!
It was also fun to be able to catch part of the women's hockey game and the women's hoops.

I went to the game and the improvement is noticeable. Loyola scored their first three baskets on a pick and roll but Paulsen corrected the problem. Loyola clearly wanted to go inside but Kenny/Nugent did a good job fronting and frustrating their big men. What a difference Bo makes when he's out there. Our offense is much more fluid.
There was someone playing the bagpipes in the lobby before the game, maybe a nod to First Responder's Day. A nice touch. And a Worcester policeman sang the anthem.

Kenney nine for his last 12 from the line. He has been shooting the ball higher lately..High and soft! both he and Joe O. used to shoot line drives, both have increased the arc on their shots...

Sure beats losing.
Batch's offense was well rounded: 6 points on 2 pointers, 6 points on 3 pointers, 6 points on free throws.

Deon Perry gave HC fits. He's 5'8" but is lightning fast and can shoot. He basically just keeps rubbing people off picks until he's open. He was by far their best offensive player. As the game went on it looked like HC was trying to make him work a lot harder to get to his spots, and in his post game comments DP credited Deandre Williams for defending Perry.

Deandre’s 30 minutes are the evidence of DP’s confidence in him. Probably his season high. Joe N’s solid defense on bigger 4s was also evident. He had 1 foul in a team high 38 minutes. Caleb also constantly fought against much bigger 5s. He spaced his 4 fouls to stay on the court for 32 minutes.

Looks like DeAndre put up 36 minutes against both Army and Navy, and 32 against Siena. Still very impressed by him yesterday and really all season long.

Sure beats losing. Batch's offense was well rounded: 6 points on 2 pointers, 6 points on 3 pointers, 6 points on free throws. Batch is driving to the basket more of late, it seems to me, making 2 point shots a much bigger part of his game. In OOC play 62% of his shots came from 3 point range ; in PL games it has been 55% 2 point shots. Even better, his shooting percentage has improved on both 2's and 3's. Small samples, to be sure, but I think the change is real. Bo Montgomery --very small sample-- also appears to have changed his role a great deal and his offensive efficiency increased dramatically in these last three games. Let's see how these two key players operate versus AU
