Chris had 15 assists in a game vs Iona just as Iona was becoming Iona under Valvano. Correction. CP has 16 assists vs Iona on 12-7-77. Those 16 are a Hart record and second in history to Glen Williams’ 17. Chris is #4 all time in assists behind point guards Williams, Meade and Breslin. The rest of the top10 are also points. Very impressive for a legit power forward, who scored and rebounded as well as Chris did. His Jersey should be in the rafters.

Looks like there were multiple promotions last night from local businesses. Nice to see. Did they do the 10,000 putting contest? Yes. It was shown doing the telecast and commentary was provided by the CBS team. The guy in the putting contest rolled it the length of the court, and missed the tiny opening by about 1”,

A little late chiming in here. Yesterday was a lot of fun. Was fantastic to get all the students who were sitting around NAD (and the usual Crossports cohort that help him out) joining in the You! You! You! You! Oooooon You! And it was decidedly more than just a few joining. Loved the men's swim team trying to distract the shooter. Didn't work, but a decidedly strong effort.
And it has been a VERY long time since the Hart Center was that loud. During that run in the second half every play was loud and following every made basket the place sounded like it was exploding. I really have missed that.
I told several of the students near me, that it can be this fun every game and make sure to come back and bring their friends.
Next game is Homecoming, 2:00 PM start, so it should be another good crowd. Hopefully there are students who liked yesterday so much, they come as well. At this rate, the guys may get used to playing in front of a large, loud crowds.
Keep it going guys.

Just watching from TV, the Hart absolutely felt like the late Willard era where basketball games were the pre-partying activity of choice. I know it was a Monday but the atmosphere at least felt like an old school Friday night game.
I'm sure a big big part of that is the other athletic teams doing their part, but I really hope we can build off this.

RP Jr of course has points that maybe will not be matched, but Chris and then Ed Siudut are close. Both jerseys deserve hanging.

I saw a post on Facebook from the 2 head coaches thanking students and fans for the energy last night! Coach Paulson was in the stands for the women’s game. I also saw a post hat since school in Worcester was cancelled yesterday, students got in free! Lots of positives on the hill!

Averaged 20 ppg and 10.5 rpg in the 58 varsity games he played. Imagine his totals if he played in 120 games.

Plus playing with another fine rebounder, Ed Siudut for two of his three seasons

The Speedo ‘Saders could catch on. Make a surprise entrance on key opponents free throws. Crowd could chant for them. Kind of a latter day Igor if you will. For or some reason the tweet won’t post, so here’s the link: x.com/PaulsenDave/status/1752445797654777905?s=20

I'm sure a big big part of that is the other athletic teams doing their part, but I really hope we can build off this. In recent years, the football team has carried that load. I think there was a 6:00 practice so for most of the game, it would have been other teams providing that energy. A group of football players did come in at some point in the second half.
