HC looked great in OT. That is the team I hope we see for the rest of the year. Congrats to the women.

Interesting shuttling in and out with the HC bigs. HC has depth late in the season, might as well use it as some teams are worn down and HC isn't.

In regulation, each team led by 4 points ONCE. No one led by more than that. Very unusual in the old days, never mind in the 3 point era.
Back in first place, Loyola and Army both lost.
Might Allen have played w/an injury or an illness? Scoreless and on the bench for the OT.

That was my thought, I wonder if Donnelly is sick/injured too.

Allen and Berger got 25 and 28 miutes, not far from usual. Cahalan and Wright got good minutes. Allen looked good at times but had a force field around the rim when she shot.

Our offense was lousy but our defense won this game for us. Foreman lost her starting spot which was appropriate, her shooting slump continues with a 1 for 7 night. Starting Allen and Berger together did not function all that well but was worth a try to shake things up.

Mary-Elizabeth Donnelly has played 216 minutes and taken zero free throw attempts. She was .800, 4 for 5 last season in 493 minutes so she can shoot FTs. Meg Cahalan is 6 for 6 from the line in 102 minutes. Consider both on offense at the end of the game when the opponent has to foul.
I hope both develop moves to the basket that generate free throws over the summer and along with Berger and Lewis give us a strong inside game to replace Allen and Wright's contributions. Donnelly plays more in a wing role and does handle the ball well but looks like a power forward. In one plus seasons she has made exactly 100 three point shot attempts and 5 free throw attempts. She has made 21 treys (.210%) and the above 4/5 FTs (.800). I like her cleaning up inside in the Janelle Allen role next year but I'm sure the coaches have looked at this from all angles and know best.
