Massey makes the women a 12 point favorite (62-50) with an 85% chance for the win that would keep HC at lesst tied for first.

If I've got it right, as long as HC wins, they retain the #1 seed. They currently hold all the tie breakers. The only possibility that they could lose out end up as the #2 is if BU, Lehigh, Navy & AU win then BU & HC are tied. HC holds the tie breaker of the better NET ranking (189 to 231). However, the rankings changes daily so there may be some uncertainty but it looks good for HC. Obviously, a huge game if they want to play in post-season. Particularly as I think is is unlikely (not impossible, but unlikely) that they can win 3 straight in the PL tournament.

The hottest coaching seat in the PL has to be Damon-Olson who has had just one winning seasons in her 8 years at Laf - don't think anyone else is about to go at season's end (unless someone says 'this league stinks and I'm better off taking an asst job in a strong league')

Did anyone come up with a reason why Donnelly doesn't see the floor anymore?

Needs to get in better shape, imo. Another example of a player who has regressed this season - as I recall she was one our top scorers in the Maryland game. I think she’s going to get her shot at playing a lot more next season

My heart says HC, my darkhorse is Bucknell, my likely is the winner of the Colgate/BosU game Wednesday. How you like that hedge

My heart says HC, my darkhorse is Bucknell, my likely is the winner of the Colgate/BosU game Wednesday. How you like that hedge Not sure Bucknell is consistent enough to run the table. But having said that, they have been getting better each game the last four weeks. With a starting lineup of four sophomores and one freshman, the future is pretty bright if they don’t lose players to the portal. One reason for their improvement is that PG Blake Matthews has gotten healthy and started living up to her potential. The starting PG the first half of the season was senior Caroline Dingler, but unfortunately, she suffered a really bad concussion in mid-December and is out for the season. It took a while for the team to get used to not having Dingler, their captain and only senior who played a lot. But they seem to have put things together the last four weeks.

In reality, her seat isn't even remotely hot. Not sure I'd agree that we won't see change in coach(es) around the league though.

I'm a little surprised by your view, as over the last 9 games the Bison are 7-2, and their 2 loses were to Colgate by 4 & HC in OT, which is the best record of all the contenders over that stretch. The only thing that is certain about the PL this seasosn is just about everyone has been consistently inconsistent. Truthfully, which ever team gets hot will win, I don't rule out anyone as there is no dominant team or 2 this season

I think it's safe to consider Bucknell a contender. This is not an outrageous view.

Do you expect Dingler back for her covid year? Very unlikely. Bucknell has not allowed any 5th years to return, so the only possible reason likely would be if the concussion symptoms are so bad that she is unable to complete her coursework. She did have to postpone her MCATs, but I think she is now able to handle the academics again. Obviously interested in med school. Btw, theoretically she might be able to play two more years since she could take this year as an injury redshirt.

I don't figure BU to win 3 games. Everything good that happened to them Saturday isn't going to happen 3 (or 4 if you count their matchup w/Colgate on Wednesday) more times.
Weimar for example went 40 minutes and there's no big on the bench if she gets in foul trouble.

Honestly, right now, it's anybody's guess who can/will win 3 in a row. HC could go chalk or we might see a low seed win the tournament for the first time in a while and anything in between.

If HC, Colgate, Loyola, Lehigh & Navy win Loyola wins the tie breaker vs HC.

These announcers are fine but I liked our earnest pair of young men who I thought would become the regular broadcast team. It's almost like ESPN has a caddy shack in the area and the next two announcers in line gets the call to make the call.
