The Eagles are currently 5-13 (2-5 in the PL). They beat Lafayette by 14 (71-57) at home in their last game. That win broke their 4 game losing streak in the PL, including a 4 pt loss to Army at home.
Massey makes HC a 9 point favorite (60-51) with an 80% chance for the win at home on Monday.

Next two game are huge. The team need to break from .500 and get some distance from the bottom half of the league. Question is which team shows up - the team that beat Harvard, or the team that lost to Bucknell?

Question is which team shows up - the team that beat Harvard, or the team that lost to Bucknell? Good point. It could also be asked, will the team that led Lehigh at the half show up, or the one that lost to Maine (I may never be able to get past that one)? HC may be helped by the need of AU to start 2 frosh. They can score, but they also combine for 5 turnovers (of AU's 13 turnovers) per game. Against HC's defense (currently the PL's best) that number could be higher.

Under the radar, this is an important game for HC. We haven't beaten American since January 2013. 0-8 in games against them since then.

With all that going for HC, a loss in this tv game on Monday could blow up the momentum that seems to be building right now.

Senior class has never beaten these guys. I doubt any class has ever gone all 4 years without beating a PL rival. I'm sure they don't want to be the first!

However his turnover rate is quite good - a lot better than Kahron Ross, Nick Lindner, Kyle Foreman, or Andre Walker for example. Also better than Steven Brown, Patrick Benzan, and most others. Same as AT. I agree that the HC style of defense may affect his turnover rate.

We've struggled this year against zones, though we were a lot better last night against Lafayette. Then again, it was Lafayette; hard to gauge because they're so bad defensively. We have stretches where we're patient and get good looks, but we've shot poorly all year from deep (more at home than on the road, for some reason). We lost to Bucknell, Lehigh and Boston in a row, but were in all three games late in the second half (led Bucknell with six minutes left; down four to both Lehigh and Boston with less than five minutes left). Homecoming game for Mark Gasperini (Brimmer and May); Matt Cimino played at Worchester Academy in his prep year.

I'm pretty confident that we'll take care of business against American on Monday, but here's the problem with CBSSN games -- our game on Monday night won't get over until 9pm, which means the tip to our game against Loyola on Wednesday is 46 hours later. We will fly to Loyola on Tuesday afternoon/evening, I imagine, and likely practice before we depart. This gives us one day of prep. Not going to be an easy game against the 'Hounds.

Crazy to think we've beaten American just three times since RW was the coach.

Looks like we'll get some kind of a storm on Monday, a nor'easter...Forecast now points to a mainly rain event.. I'm looking forward to a good turnout of students at the game, will be a first this season...Feels like the students have been on break all season!

Tough to ask them to walk up to the Hart in the rain. Maybe we can shuttle them from dorm to Hart? 😳

The new building will allow a lot more cut-throughs, right? Maybe not when there's a game and they're selling tickets, but in general should be another way to escape the nasty Worcester elements.
Most of us figured out every way possible to go from bldg a to bldg b without going out!

GAME DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be a nasty night on the hill tonight! Wind, rain, maybe a bit of frozen stuff blowing in the wind...I hope the 'Saders defense can make it as inhospitable for AU inside the Hart Center...and the offense can warm up the crowd. Can we get a large, noisy contingent of students to the game? Looking forward to the evening!
