At the half HC 38-36, BPC w/14. I believe the are playing Singleton SuperValu Brunell, which plays in the women's Super League. Former HC player Tricia Byrne played for Brunell. These teams are sort of semi-pro made up of college, HS & pro players (I think).

Lead whoever they are playing (I think Brunell) 17-12 after one.

Based on the photos posted in the blog, Lauren Huber was not in game uniform against the Ireland National Team. Is she injured? To what extent? Will she be available for the beginning of the upcoming season? is the a second game scheduled in Ireland ? Based on an Instagram photo posted today, Huber was participating in their practice, so I guess she may have been a little under the weather for game 1. Game 2 looks to be in Galway, as of the moment, opponent unknown. Looking at a post by the Maree Basketball Center where they practiced today as well as held a clinic, it appears that they are going to play the National team again.

The current WBB Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coaches both have recent masters degrees in their field. They are current with the latest techniques. Not really. Hopefully, what ever her issue is, it's not serious. That said, I don't think she is project to see a whole lot of court time this year, much like her first 2 years, despite some decent outings.

Bridget Herlihy and her sister played for Villanova and Braintree High before that. 5 others also played D1 basketball in the US. It will be interesting if they play the Senior women's national team (above) or the U20 team. Still kills me the lack of info they are providing.

I suspect they made their travel & accommodations reservations before the trip was announced.

Anyone else notice there was no aaccompsnying trip for fans? Had a great trip to see the men in Belfast but why no trip to see the women? For that matter, we don't even know who they are playing.

I'd like to think they wouldn't have taken down the tree without getting the opinion of an arborist (or maybe a lawyer!). Likely need to get permission from the local Tree Warden

Hopefully, the WNIT will survive, since it guarantees at least one spot to every league. The new NCAA version will clearly not guarantee spots to midmajor leagues. Perhaps, but they have not yet announced format or selection process.

I wonder if this spells the death knell for the WNIT, which is not owned by the NCAA
