Bronagh and Janelle with three fouls each - doesn't bode well.
Need to have Foreman out there as much as possible the rest of the way - doing a good job on Clark, and when she drives to the basket can be effective offensively, only has one foul..

Clark's a competitor but seems to whinny. Her attitude is terrible Don't know where that comes from . . . Jawing with dad in the stands, and they weren't exchanging pleasantries.

Iowa, 23-21, after one.
I'm finding this . . . watchable.

Flanagan and Foreman have both, alternatively, done a good job thus far on Clark.

With posts here and there about the HC women's team, attendance at the Hart, unwatchable games, and the evil empire in Storrs . . . I found a complete game video of this one, worth a watch between now and tomorrow afternoon, if you have the time and feel a bit nostalgic.
Attendance: 4,000 (SRO). Kevin Shea and Amy O'Brien with the call.
Enjoy.

The worst 16-1 women's matchup I tried to watch was when St Francis took on UConn. a few years ago. For some (very very) strange reason St. Francis decided to run their usual fast- paced offense. 55 UConn points later the first quarter (!) ended. None of the St. Francis women looked happy to take the court in the second quarter. (Note: Quarter is not a typo.) Actually, it is. Women were playing halves in 2014-15, and the score at half time was 47-14.

Maine loses by 25 to Ohio State. Watched most of the second half and found it very "watchable." Black Bears played them hard and pretty even over the last 20 minutes, and along with the rest of the audience, got to see Maine's star, Anne Simon, put on a show

Really respect UT-M's McMillan - stand-up guy, and a player's coach.

Watching tonight it's difficult to understand how we managed to lose 12 games, but at least we're peaking at the most opportune time. Callie Wright starting is a difference maker. The 1-5 swoon (1/27 - 2/17) coincided with Simone's offensive struggles, Then MM took her out of the starting lineup, and HC has gone 7-2 since, with Wright starting eight of those nine games. She's averaged 7 and 7 per 40 in that span, and given us much-needed quickness, length and presence down low defensively.

On St. Patrick's Day, 2000, #15 Holy Cross stayed with #2 Rutgers (coached by Vivian Stringer, who also coached at . . .Iowa) for a half, trailing by just four at the intermission, thanks to Anna Kinne going bananas behind the arc (like CM last night). Ended up losing by twenty-one.
That's as competitive as HC has been in the tournament since upsetting Maryland in 1991 (until last night), losing by an average of thirty points to a dozen different opponents. If we don't have a blizzard of turnovers early, like last year, and we stay hot from three-land, could make things interesting for awhile.
In any event, I'm sure the team is over the moon to be playing on Saturday against Clark&Co.

Or a triangle and 2 with the 2 on Clark. Let the others beat you if they can Emulating Jimmy Patsos may not be the best look.

I’ve watched all or parts of 90 pct of our games and I didn’t recognize that team tonight - have not played with that efficiency any other time (maybe the game at Lafayette) But let’s remember UT-M lost by 30 in their conference championship game. How do we game plan for Iowa ? Start with smothering Clark. Play a box-and-two and see if anybody notices.
