He is graduating so there is no place for him at HC, unfortunately.

forgot, also O'Connell. He has 2 years of eligibility so he will be able to help a program out for anther couple of years. He was a transfer from South Carolina, which does not have a varsity Lax program. Somebody is going to get lucky

Purple, you have to be a coach or compliance person. However Mullaney, Lynskey and Kodzis are on the board

Nice to hear mentoring coaches and giving them the tools to succeed. Ranked #1 in APR is a big deal. I was impressed with him and the things he said. Competing and winning are also part of the formula and he recognized it and said as much. He has a summer to gear up. Nice job HC.

Great Season!!! HC needs to hook into Burke, Farley and Lynch asap to help with the depth. The PL added the likes of BU and Loyola and we competed to the best record in program history. It started in 2018 at QU game with Burke. Lets go HC make the announcement.

Yes Burke is doing an outstanding job. You will watch him let his assistants coach. He is very calm and he fires up these kids. Listening to the game made me sick, announcers love for Toomey and #7 was just a bit too much. This is no fluke,HC besides Providence, has rang up a lot of goals from different player every game. #11 had them tripping on themselves. There were at least 6 calls that were just flat out BS, that were possession changers. There was no way those refs were going to let HC come down and beat Loyola. Hell Toomey was telling the refs when to call a penalty it was pathetic. I read on the Loyola post that they had a hangover from the Towson game. No they did'nt they just got beat by a better offense then what they have seen. We just put up 15 goals against the #1 team in the country, that is a fact. Our offense had their heads spinning in a zone d.
Congrats to the coaches and the boys. Keep angry and move on to Bucknell and kicks so butt. This is the type of program building we have been waiting for.

We just invested in new facilities, I don't think dropping any sport is a good idea. Football program just started funding scholarships so that will take a time, but the new coach has energized the program. Basketball has the best chance of national recognition and HC has put money towards this with practice facilities. I would look at what we invest our money in alumni wise. I was a bit surprised at the Track and Field giving. Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the US. How about being in front of that curve.

Actually this is the first fall where I was impressed with the overall talent. I have no idea how easy it is to become an All American and every class is different, I’ll take the press on it though. There were freshman switching in on D middy to who looked great and were clearing the ball nicely. Also there is a lefty attack that was sick that is very promising, he would have been out there starting. They looked good and the team is clicking. Going to have a tough schedule and they will need some new guns for sure.

Nice Northeast'a yesterday. Team looked very good. First half ended at 8-2 crusaders. Three goals by a freshman, bunch more from some upperclassmen and things seem to be rolling on the hill. For the conditions the team looked confident making a majority of the goals off of assists. Defense was flat out solid. Knocking down or intercepting passes and just keeping the continued pressure on the Hartford offense. The game ended with Crusaders winning 11-6. We are checking the record books, but some local historians say this is the FIRST fall game won in a long time, and possibly the first time every. The team has lots of talent from returners to some new freshman that will step right in. Coach Burke and the new assistance have been doing a great job getting these kids ready to play. There was a level of aggressiveness that we saw the last 5 games of 2018 that brewed over to this game. Nothing but positives came out of this game and the ball movement was terrific even for the rain being blown sideways. This team will compete this year as long as they continue to play with the assertiveness they showed yesterday. Tip of the hat to Burke, for a successful fall. 98 days till the first game.

Newbie, I have heard the same thing. Coaches have the kids energized. They are looking pretty big. Lots of lifting and eating going on. There are a couple of freshman that are fitting in perfectly to this new system. Looks like Burke and his assistants have a great handle on things. Its a very good opportunity for Burke, glad NP made that move.

I think its a very good opportunity for a young coach. I like his bio, but mostly Bucknell is very similar to HC. They have zero scholarships and his coach at Bucknell has been very successful. I have heard nothing but positive things about Burke. Continue to hear the phrase "class act" to describe him. The players play for him undoubtedly, they came alive at the end of the season 3-2 under him with a close loss to Navy. The lack of information about JL and the time this all took tells us this was a major problem. Just the pure fact that Burke took this job after JL was put on Admin Leave tells you there was an issue with JL. Not to mention not a word or notice has been said about him in 3 months. Colgate's coach, just resigned and moved on so he is destine for another D1 spot.
Good for Coach Burke, he deserves a chance to move the program forward, in the $100 Million Facility.

Talk about getting a triple bogey after an eagle. Disappointing performance today. Looked at some of the stats. One is still the EMO, better put another combination out there. 0-3. Faceoff we were 9-22, it seemed worse, only because Lehigh picked up 44 GB's compared to our 33. Both teams had the same amount of TO 19. Lehigh was 15-33 on SOG, they did not miss much, or did we not save much. Once again like Vermont they just played us mostly in zone and the coach has not figured out how to play against this. I believe the tools are there. The guys who played well on Tuesday were not in the mix today. On to next week. Lattimore will need to find away to keep these guys motivated. The just got their teeth knocked in by Vermont and Lehigh and they have the same defense, well and offense, so if I am a betting man i would say coach get a plan together and change up your emo. Extra man offense, thats and advantage, how about getting a shooter in there.
Lets go fellas its only one PL game.

Lehigh, has got a good team this year. Like we have all said there are no easy games this year. There are currently 3 teams in the PL that are ranked in the top 20, Army, Loyola and now Colgate. Vermont is in there as well as a mention for Providence. There is some positive things about our team. The d was running short with injuries and illness and there is an upside to that, Murphy has not played yet. Offensively I think there needs to be some tweeks to the EMO but keep the pressure on like they did against Harvard. This team is better than we showed the first two games. Turnovers have to be controlled but it will happen and thats part of the game, just have to keep them to single digits if possible. Keep, 45 healthy.

Love a win for the day. I remember we were beating Harvard 2 years ago and blew the lead and lost in double OT. Come on man, first win in 35 years soak up the sun a bit. We had 11 turnovers compared with 23 a couple of days ago. BTW, Harvard's fogo was a highly recruited player and lots of accolades about him and our transfer and Winchester gem out hustled him.

awesome game is right, there was offense!!! How about Tesoro with 14 saves, ridiculous. How about giving that guy a high five on jumping back after getting shelled by Vermont. That is the athletic offense we are talking about. I little BTB action, fake and fire, gutting it out through 2 OT's. Look at the stats from #45. Kid is solid and a beast, Universtiy of South Carolina Transfer WHAT!!! Great games by Babiak (five goals), Kodzis (2 Goals 2 asssits with one assist to win) and Lynskey (3 goals and the winner). Defense played tough and was doing all they could to an offense that is typically the highest recruited class. Good Job Latt, kids looked fresh and he played a lot of guys which keep them fresh on a hot day in Cambridge for double OT. I think there was a lot to learn about this team today on how to handle the pressure to be 8-5 behind to get 4 in a row and take the lead. Keep motivating those kids they want to win. Glass is 3/4 full today

My take away was we picked up where we left off against Dartmouth. We looked good initially and then the offense got in a lull and our defense had to work overtime. Preseason the ball was buzzing around, today they looked tight and were missing a main guy to run the offense. Being young has a downside and we showed that today, mostly Freshman and Sophs out there. Penalties killed us and I don't think our coach screaming at the refs was a good thing. Cant loose it like that, act like you have been there before.
What I witnessed was a tight team that looked like they were afraid to make a mistake. I thought the defense played well and Tesoro played well with 10 save on 19 shots. We did get a lot of different goals by 6 different players. Lattimore ran different guys than he started with at Dartmouth not sure why. He is probably trying to find the right combinations. Good news is they still played hard. Fogo is better than it was last year, I don't know the stats on that but looked pretty even in the first half and then the Friars jumped on us. Not sure what adjustments are being made at halftime, but they came out cold. A young group starting with minimal experience you have to do the fundamentals well. We lost a whole offense and Lattimore has to rebuild that and gain some confidence out there. There were some nice things to take home but I think its Lattimores time to run his lines deep and find that rhythm.

Nice showing Saturday. I had the game pretty close in the first half 4-4 but i could be off. We were 3-0 for most of the first quarter. We had two legit goals within the first 2 minutes of the game. Kodzis snapped an alley shot in 30 seconds and on the next possession Lynskey made a great shot with the D closing on him. We looked fast and controlled the ball very well on offense in the first half. Was pleasantly impressed with the wins on the clap with our Fogo. We just lost control to many times after we initially won. I thought Tesoro played well. Seemed like the second half the chemistry was off. We were just not moving the ball as well on offense which caused our defense to work overtime in the second half. I did not pay as much attention but Dartmouth was getting a jump on us. Lattimore, did rotate in lots of freshman which was good to see and they played well but were not as patient. I did not see Lilly or Maruna playing. Thought Murphy, Farrell, MacKintire and New played well Was impressed with O'Connell and Keating at Fogo, they both look like they have been working hard. Hopefully this changes things for us this season. Offense Mullaney, Waldron,Kodzis, Leblonde and Lynskey looked very comfortable playing with each other and play a very similar style. In fact it looked like Dartmouth was caught off guard with how fast they were moving the ball. Nice to watch this style of lacrosse. I am pretty hopeful for a good season. Every game will be hard this year, If we can control the ball and get quality shots things will fall into place. Go Crusaders!!

I saw that they had their first practice in the Luth yesterday. I agree with you, out of all the sports they will get the advantage of better practices. Even though you have to play games in the cold and other weather mother nature tosses at them, they get quality practices and can go longer.

Had some issues at the faceoff, that was expected but all in all it was a decent showing. Got a good look at the offense, it is fast with good athletes and lots of new players. I think once they get comfortable with playing with each other this will be a good group for the next couple of years. They played hard and with a decent amount of confidence, lot of guys with good hands.
Defensively, they will pull it together and have some experience there and this group will pull together nicely. They were on the field for long stretches and it appears they are in very good shape, they kept the tempo up the whole time.
Looking forward to 2018
