At least he is leaving after Chesney left for JMU. JMU is better than BC. Now BC should stay away from our guy Dan Curran. Just as Chesney would have taken Syracuse over JMU in a heartbeat, same goes for BC. You don't seriously think coaching in the Sunbelt trumps a P4 conference job? Better for us. I would much prefer Chesney at JMU rather than Boston College. Job wise BC is better from an economic standpoint.

Just look 3 comments above. So close. Doc and inhoc please delete. Deleted, so as not to disrupt the fragile ecosystem of a message board. So close to what? Just passing along info as I see it come across.

I liked tape of Jenkins athletically. Not sure how he is progressing at college level.

I won't comment on whether or not Sluka is better than Morris, but I will say the following: 1. A winner doesn't worry about competing for a job; 2. Matt can impact a game a lot more than Morris; 3. If I was a coach, I would start Matt over Morris until he proves he couldn't win; and 4. He won't be transferring to play another position.

Hopefully he starts, so we can play him next season.

Sluka is a gamer. I would welcome him back to HC if he decides to stay. If he goes for sure, he could play at the FBS level for about 90% of the teams.

Not sure. Saw FAMU and GA Southern offers listed. His brother is UCF player and his father is/was a WWE professional wrestler.

I'll leave that to the insiders, but I assume it is PT - only has 11 receptions in 3 (2 w/o injury) years. It does leave us very thin at the position. Hopefully the young guys can fill the role.

Army beat Air Force easily. Army barely beat us. Air Force manhandled JMU. Ergo, we are better than JMU.
In all honesty - Sluka is better than McCord.

I think each group of players, whether under Carter, Duffner, Allen, Gilmore or Chesney, will have a sense of loyalty to their head guy. I know little about Vaas, but he is the only coach that appears to have a little less loyalty from his guys, from what i heard.
I have nothing negative to say about Gilmore. He worked hard for HC. He was always good to me and other Dan Allen-era players. I will say that he didn't do as well as Chesney at connecting the past with the present. Chesney was excellent at making the extra effort to go out and meet with former players and alums generally. Gilmore was more of a football only grinder. I think this aligns with most of our feelings that Chesney was an excellent "salesman" for the program. I see Curran as a middle-ground between the 2.

Change is expected with a new HC. I'm on the Curran train - all aboard to Frisco.

Pretty impressive work by the current staff and the transition staff (those that are staying at least through the signing period). Of the commits previously listed, only 2 signed elsewhere in the midst of a coaching regime change.
Miles silent? Maybe still signing.
Bostic decommits the day BC leaves, but only showing an offer from Central Conn (good luck with that) since then.
Edit: I remember now that someone said the QB got injured and is reclassifying to next year...."The QB is still showing committed on his Twitter."
