And the president might just obviate the issue by not extending an invitation as he has broken with precedent numerous times already. One should not assume that an invitation to the White House is "automatic."

I would be fine if the office of the President became less about entertaining athletes and other celebrities and more about finding ways to do things like reduce the national debt, which currently stands at $20 trillion. More jobs, fewer sports ceremonies would be a good goal for any White House.

I want to announce that when invited to attend New England Patriot games, I refuse to attend. What do you mean I was not invited? Neither were all those getting some cheap publicity by trying to denigrate our President.
