Which Loyola team shows up? The one that beat BU, Bucknell, and Lehigh (twice) - or the one that lost to Army, Lafayette, and Colgate (twice)?

Loyola has owned us in the regular season since they joined the conference - we are 1-4 against them in PL regular season play but 2-0 in the PLT where it REALLY counts.

Even if they add no recruits, they are going to be in the top half of the PL next year.

Two starters for LU, Gregory and Kostecka were prime recruits of our previous coaches.

e]Loyola only loses one player from their top 10 for 2017-18. Even if they add no recruits, they are going to obe in the top half of the PL next year. Very possible, although probably not higher than 4th. The one player they do lose, however, is a 5th year senior who leads them in scoring and rebounding.

Following up on crusader 70's comment about Loyola's returning players here is a rundown on what percentage of points return for each team next year: Army 85 Navy 66 Buck 92 BU. 56 AU 79 Col 88 HC 36 Laf 66 Leh. 55 Loy 74 Looks like a lot of firepower returning for most of the league next season. We are going to need a lot of help from the frosh next year.

We are going to need a lot of help from the frosh next year. Truer words have never been spoken. Next year's frosh are going to have a terrific opportunity to contribute immediately. Let's hope they are up to the task.....a tall one for sure.

No doubt that next year will be a rebuilding year (we are not to the level of "reloading" every year) and I expect that we will struggle, especially in the beginning, as the the freshmen learn CWC's system and get acclimated to the faster game and that they are not going to be the best players on their team or the opposition as they generally are in high school.
That's OK because the talent coming in looks like they will be at a level higher than what we have now and what other PL teams have. I expect as CWC gets the players he needs for his system that we will get progressively better every year.

Think we have to see the freshmen before we can say they are at higher level than what other PL teams have would agree they appear to be better than we have now.

This may have been the worst scholarship recruiting class ever. Disagree. 2014 class -- we don't have a junior class. Also, 2012 wasn't all that great for a four man class (Baker never played, Morgan played sparingly, Green played in only 82 games, Hamilton was extremely mediocre). This class also hasn't even finished their first season. There are numerous examples of players at HC who played sparingly as freshmen, and then went on to have great careers.

This may have been the worst scholarship recruiting class ever. Typical of you maybe we should wait more than 1 season before a final judgment

Need to have MA and KC pick up the pace if we are going to be successful going forward. KC hasn't scored a basket in last two games and has been very inconsistent most of the year, scoring in single digits in 9 of 16 PL games. MA has been struggling for the most part in the last 5-6 games. Agree this recruiting class to date has been an unmitigated disaster.

This may have been the worst scholarship recruiting class ever. Typical of you maybe we should wait more than 1 season before a final judgment Of course the perfect example of the wisdom of waiting more than one season is Pat Benzan. As a freshman he played just 155 minutes going 6/25 on two point attempts (.240) and 0/3 on threes and scoring just 23 points. Then he becomes a sophomore and proves himself, in my opinion, of being an extremely smart player with some unique talents. His field goal percentage on twos is 86/166. .518, based on a tremendous ability to get loose underneath, find seams in the defense, or otherwise manufacture opportunities. He's got an assist to turnovers ratio of 2 to 1 and is a pretty good ball thief. I look forward to seeing him as a team leader for two more years. I certainly did not predict this based on his freshman performance, BUT I also did not write him off either. Let's not write off this year's freshmen .

2016 is in a deficit position because a kid transfered to HCC. Of the other two I'm not sure but either could contribute some and still have the worst class in a coon'S age. If kostecka had come we'd have a SG coming off the bench who is pretty good. SOV how many did he have against us last time, 20? BTW coach will shut him down tonight. That's what my crystal ball suggests.
