Congrats to all It would be kind of rare for teammates to go in together. Even Vicens and Potter went in separately

Maybe rare, but it would have been cool I hope that Jave or Jim Schnurr is the next baller to go in.

Also glad to see Maggie Weber (Fontana) also being inducted. She was a special player and her lofty numbers would have been greater if not for the injury she sustained and never fully recovered. She was one of the reasons that we had season tickets and enjoyed watching the women's games. Met her on a few occasions after she graduated and she is a class person.

We always talk, and rightly so, about how many more points Buddy Venne might have scored with a three point line, but his teammate Jim Schnurr also had great range.

That 3 point shot could have been a game changer for many "pre-3" Crusaders. Interesting to speculate on what some already impressive numbers might have climbed to with that increase.

She was a great player, both she and Andrews were slowed by injuries for most of the last 2 yrs of their careers. I think she & her family now live up in the Clifton Park area after a fairly long run as an assistant at Salem State.

I was lucky enough to see 3 of the players on this list play in person.
Simmons had a mind-blowing dunk on the concession-side basket-- from nearly a standstill he dunked from just outside the block, and obliterated the sad existence of the defender. I don't even remember the opponent, and I don't remember who won the game, but I remember him forcing that poor sap to probably never appear in public again. With cramping/health issues dogging him almost every step of the way, it's crazy to think about just how good Keith was, and how he could have possibly been better too.
Sixsmith always stood out on the ice when he was in as the fastest player, the smoothest skater, and very very skilled.

My recollection of Keith was a superman performance against Brown at their place. Others remember it more for NAD being accosted by some inhospitable Brown co-eds who were just appalled at his loud cheering. Cheering in their place is supposed to be in hushed tones and clapping should be only using 2 or 3 fingers on each hand.

Yep, Lisa was another good one. Maggie is in Reinsurance now and, yes, Clifton Park, NY. Met her husband whose name escapes me (Weber, obviously is his last name . . . duh!) and if memory serves, he played on the Crusader hockey team. Doubt he was as good a hockey player as she was on the basketball court. I loved that the classmates of her alum grandfather all "adopted" her and went to all her games to cheer for her. Think they made her "honorary member" of their class.

I believe that Maggie was the highest rated recruit ever for the HC womens' team.

I believe that Maggie was the highest rated recruit ever for the HC womens' team. As far as that goes, yes, iirc she was ranked somewhere in the mid-20's, Andrews was in the high 80s or 90s. However, the women's ranking services were in their infancy at that time and seeing how they are deplorable and unreliable now I would suggest they were likely worse then, but no question she was very highly recruited coming out of HS.

I believe that then and moreso now, those services are far more reliable for the top recruits (aka UConn) than for mid to low recruits.
