He did not dress or do anything different from what he normally does. With his attitude and dedication to the team under very tough personal circumstances, he provides a very good role model for my kids who are ardent HC supporters. For that, I am very grateful to him. They all know his story and were kind enough to explain it today to their sister and mother who are slightly less ardent HC supporters.

I don't think Riley was interested in that kind of honor. Rumor has it that he requested no waiver request be made. Unlike the other manager, Riley received a framed team jersey which was appropriate tribute in my opinion

Just imagine the heartbreak he suffered when he learned that his career was over. All that hard work, all that talent, the excitement of a Div I scholarship.... Instead of sulking into oblivion he stayed in the game. Inspiring.
