Looking into my crystal ball.... 8 man rotation....
PB, CG, KC, JF, MP, KC2, HN, and MF
PB needs to work on ball handling and crisper passing. CG needs to get stronger. KC needs to work on his defense, no more slapping at the ball JF nends to work on defense, shot blocking ain't everything. MP just stay healthy please. KC2 strength and shooting improvement HN get stronger, tougher, get in shape for early minutes at about 20. MF never leave the weight room.
If everything goes well I see 15 wins.

There are several teams that return most of their key players and I have not looked at the ooc schedule, but at this point I would see 15 wins as a good year if the team appears to come together through the season. HC has a LOT to replace (more than simply "points scored'). The "chemistry" of the seniors was a major part of the 2016 PLT championship and will be missed, as will their leadership.

BTW, thanks to the "under-appreciated" George Kennedy. We will not soon forget what you helped to bring us in 2016. Rest in peace!
We may need a new Avatar - so start thinking about one for next year.

We lose 59% of our minutes played and 65% of the scoring.
Next year won't be as bad as some are projecting. In fact, I believe we will have a better record.

I can't believe anyone would not see significant potential in Austin Butler who has been a tremendous scorer in high school, a strong rebounder, a multi-sport athlete, suggesting "athleticism", and is regarded by some observers as "tough", a real competitor.

Just remember, that in D1 basketball (and at other levels as well), at the end of the day, most freshmen will still be freshmen. We an expect some shining moments, and some that will have fans pulling out their hair. For me, I hope to see CBC bring these three years of young players together to build the foundation for coming years.

I have VERY modest expectations for next year.....and yet, I cannot wait for it. While there will be 5 freshman, in reality, I consider JS and MP to be "newcomers" (to playing time, at least) - so it's almost like having a brand new team.
I'm wondering if BCarm will look to go with a tight rotation again (once he decides on it), or if the minutes will be much more spread out.

I am just looking forward to a roster with more guys who can actually shoot the basketball.

SOV please explain how you can realistically look at the roster as it stands for next year and predict more wins. The returning roster produced 20 points per game this year and the so called nucleus of the team consists of a PG who can't shoot from the outside, a center who has no offense whatsoever and is a misfit in the offense this coach runs, and a forward who is a fouling machine and if you force him away from his left hand is nothing more than a pretty good spot up three point shooter. CLS and MZ showed nothing this year as evidenced by the 24 points each produced this year. MP, who knows he's had two major injuries and hasn't really played competitively for 3 years. There's a reason Carmody is still looking to recruit another wing player. The recruits look good on paper but until we see them on the floor no reasonable analysis can be made as to how effective they will be or how quickly they will adjust to the next level of competition.

We have the potential to be a better defensive rebounding team next year: if JF plays the most minutes at the 5 with JS backing him, that position should improve. MF and CN have good reputations and size at 6' 8" at the 4 to make that spot better. KC is ok at the 3, with possible help from athletic MP. AB could be a plus rebounder at the 2. We should be bigger and hopefully better at what was a major weakness this season.
