We needed that last one for sure. Hope that gets us going now in the right direction.

Looks like White pitched a couple of solid innings. It's good to have him back,

o'neilll's shot was clutch - actually a 3 run homer with 2 out to win it for us. yes, an end to a rather dismal weekend for HC.
baseball managed to get the last of 4 games softball lost 3 of 4 against teams that had 2 and 3 wins coming into the weekend women's lax was blown out at navy men's lax lost to a maac (weaker conference) school, marist men's tennis lost all 4 matches and did not win a single set all weekend women's tennis lost their 2 matches (a 3rd score pending) men's crew team did well in new jersey (not so for the women) - nice consolation prize
adnp cannot be pleased with these results. it's still early in the spring season with league play ahead - can only hope for improvement

HC starts the season 5-14 and let's hope that we excel in PL play. Looking at the stats we can see some big discrepancies between HC team totals and that of our opponents, the most striking being the defense, and as we all know defense is one of the three keys to winning baseball
Fielding Average
HC= .953 with 33 errors. 2016 data not available, but HC fielding average in 2015 was a very good .975 versus .969 for opponents that season Opponents= .969 with 22 errors
Unearned runs yielded
HC= 23 Opponents= 11
We also see, of course, the HC love for the sacrifice bunt
HC= 12 Opponents= 5
Opponents have had more sacrifice flies--more likely a factor of having a man on third more often, rather than a strategy
HC= 6 Opponents= 14
