critelli with a 2-run dinger in the first - now 2-0 bottom of the second. we need this game in case of a tiebreaker with army for playoff position white has pitched all of 8 innings this season (with only one start before today), so I don't think we really know how he is throwing other than he's coming along slowly. coach started him in Finan's normal sunday role and had to go with Finan in relief after we trailed 4-0.
might also have been thinking of Fox who also has been very good earlier in his career but is being used carefully this season.

Three of four from Army...not bad. Next a Wed game with Siena at home and then four against Bucknell at home on Sat and Sun.

6-1 final in 2nd game of dh - nice weekend for hc. we didn't get any help from lehigh as they were swept both days in bethlehem vs. navy. mids are now 10-2 while we're in 2nd place at 8-4 heading into the last 2 weekends of league play. this is setting up as the same scenario as last year when the final playoff series was in annapolis. long way to go but navy is playing very well (they play at army next weekend while bucknell comes to worcester)

Very solid weekend. Taking 3 of 4 at Army is huge. Relative to Navy, the schedule favors us as both teams play Bucknell. Our other series is with woeful Lafayette while they have Army. Certainly possible to make up at least 2 games over the next 8. Not sure what the tiebreaker would be if it comes to that. We split our earlier series with Navy. Would be great to have home field throughout the playoffs.

If they at least split with Navy and wind up in third, we'd win the tiebreaker. Long way to go obviously.

the teams in the playoffs are pretty much set (even with 2 weekends of league play remaining). navy 10-2 hc 8-4 buck 8-4 army 7-5 lehigh 2-10 laugh 1-11 (and an incredible 3-36 overall - included in their wins is a victory over notre dame !)

laugh 1-11 (and an incredible 3-36 overall - included in their wins is a victory over notre dame !) And the win over Notre Dame was by a 10-2 score - and ND started one of their weekend pitchers. At that point - one game into the season - LC looked like they might have a respectable team.
