I find scurrilous the allegations that ADNP was trying to save a few thousand $$$ on the $95MM project by specifying a water pressure of 35 PSI in the showers. I won't be a party to spreading such rumors. They are worse than the disinformation campaign about the 95 degree limit on the hot water supply.

Phreek will note that Bond monthly publishes photos of construction progress, but he does not possess any that are not in public domain. The prohibition against photography is probably standard for a tour in which a contractor employee was not present. I doubt its a matter of industrial espionage and more a matter of not having ambulance chasers seeking documentation of contractor liabilkity if someone, on the tour, were to be hurt. _______________________________________________
The balcony in AdNP's office suite is replicated by a similar balcony, off the upper corridor, overlooking the practice court.
Schedule-wise, they need to open the new strength and conditioning space so that the current space can be converted to football coaches offices (second Floor) and coaches offices offices for other sports (first floor). I dn't think CTG wants to be moving during the middle of football season. That said, these conversions are relatively easy.

Let me add to my post above.
First, thanks for the tour reports.
In the athletic director's suite, there are two conference rooms, plus a large gathering area in the middle. There is a window looking out on to the court, and I believe there is also a door to the upper stands at the east end. The two conference rooms total about 1,000 sq ft., and the office space (not including the conference rooms, but including the gathering area) is about 6,000 sq ft.
The main team meeting room referenced above supposedly holds 112.
There are six locker rooms at the north end of the NFH, lower level, under strength and conditioning. Largest is M's lacrosse. The M/W track and field locker rooms are comparatively small, given the number of participants. I assume this reflects the attire and lack of equipment. There are 60+ lockers in the women's track & field locker room. The men seemed to have similar number. M/W soccer locker rooms are also at this end.
Regarding the basketball locker rooms, they are still being constructed. The M/W locker rooms are individually larger than the team meeting room referenced above (which is 1600 sq ft.) Perhaps some may feel this is not palatial enough. . I assume no one asked about a videoboard(s).

If an investigation of the PSI of water pressure is necessary, I imagine that Ted Wells '72 would be able to lead that work in light of his experience with the PSI of the air in footballs on cold days.

Actually I'm really interested in whether or not the locker rooms are first class or of the type that we just left behind where one could believe there was no hot running water. I guess recruits are still being taken back to the dorms to shower after working out. It is my understanding that they're splitting the difference. Home locker rooms will get a serious, legitimate upgrade that most if not all will be happy with. Visiting locker room will actually be downgraded. Never mind hot water there will be no running water at all - just an old fashioned well in the middle of the locker room with a bucket and a length of rope not quite long enough to reach the water table.

The rumors I heard some time ago was that they were looking at a videoboard for one or both ends.
I do not know what the minimum height spec is, --from center court to the lowest obstructing element above the court. Perhaps local ground rules could be introduced, no three quarter length of the court heaves.
My guess is that the existing roof trusses would not support a four-sided videoboard with scoring features, and based on a photo taken this weekend, no indication the contractor is strengthening the girders. Which perhaps leaves an option of videoboard(s) on the east and/or west walls, with scoreboards moved to above center court. _____________________________ As for the visitor locker rooms, that follows the advice of Crusaders who played for one Arnold Auerbach, and his precepts for facilities management at the old GAH-Din. .

Not a rumor.
As I posted months ago - video boards are coming to both ends of the Hart no later than '18-'19.

Yep, we talked about the football visitor locker room and the discussion about the small and inadequate condition they are in. My response was, "you say that like it is a bad thing. I thought that came under the heading of home field advantage."

Here is a rundown, to be the best of my knowledge, of the locker rooms
New, north end of NFH{/u] M/W lacrosse M/W soccer M/W track & field
New, in the addition between NFH and Hart M/W basketball Field Hockey Volleyball
New, Hart complex W ice hockey
Existing and no major refurbishment, Hart complex M ice hockey Football M/W swimming
No locker room, at Luth Baseball Softball M/W rowing M/W tennis M/W golf
Visiting team locker rooms Three on north side of Hart court for hoops (new? renovated)) (two for M / one for w) Two on west side of rink (existing) Three to the south of the Hart court (converted from HC team locker rooms?)
Faculty locker rooms Two by the pool
Women officials changing room One, north side of the Hart court.
Discrimination! Can't find a changing room for male officials.

Not a rumor. As I posted months ago - video boards are coming to both ends of the Hart no later than '18-'19. Yes but... are they likely to be much larger than the current boards, given the constraints [windows, doorways & walkways] in these areas?

Their cost is not huge. Their importance far out weighs their cost. Penny wise and pound foolish.

Their cost is not huge. Their importance far out weighs their cost. Penny wise and pound foolish. Easy for you to say. Has it occurred to you that smart people looked at the project and have prioritized what stays and what goes? My guess is they would have $100M+++ of stuff but had to cut far more critical things than videoboards.
