Since I can only see Sarasota's posts when someone quotes him, I will try to help him out. When he said "our African Americans" he wasn't really meaning "our," since we don't own any. He was probably only speaking for himself.
Someone should check the size of his property and whether he is growing cotton or tobacco on his plantation.
i'll bet he misses my sarcasm almost as much as I miss his hyperbole. Life is good with the ignore feature.
I believe the reference was to African Americans who live in the nation, or region. It did not seem to have any link to "ownership." (It could be an unfortunate and divisive reference in any case.)
I employed a completely innocuous use of the term "our," merely intending to indicate that they are our neighbors here in America, and the usual suspects jumped all over it with their preposterous critiques.
