If by a couple of months ago, you mean this post from 3 weeks ago on page 1 of this thread I think you can see why some would not view this as a report of a scheduled game but speculating/questioning if one is scheduled. I knew about the Q game much earlier. Thought I posted then. Maybe I just told my homies about it. Q will be on the road likely. An attractive home schedule. HC played Q here in 2016-17 and down in CT in 2015-16. They did not play 2014-15. Assuming they are on the schedule it would likely be the start of a new 2 year deal.

I recently attended by grandson's graduation in Q's arena. Nice venue on their "upper campus."

Is that the same top 100 Harvard against whom HC now has won three straight games over the last three years? To be precise, same school, not the same team. Tracking down a rumor that CBC had a seance with one Arnold A. during which there was discussion about adjusting the 'amenities' in the visiting team's locker room, and thus ensuring four wins in a row over the Johnnies. I'm certain ADNP is not spending $95 million without giving HC some advantages! Now that Drew Faust is leaving Harvard, it will be interesting to see how supportive her successor will be regarding Harvard athletics, though one BO is being promoted by some as a candidate. If so, he might demand to be dual-hatted: president and assistant basketball coach..

The very same team...the basketball team (players obviously change on every team from year to year).

I, for one, think that Bill O'Reilly would, indeed, make a great president at that school, bringing common sense and clear thinking to an institution where they are sorely needed.

Anybody have any idea when HC will post their official schedule with dates and venues (Home or away)... If the lsat few years are any guide ... July 21, 2016 Sept 1, 2015 Sept 10, 2014 Sept 18, 2013 - with a non-conference schedule announcement on July 17. I think if you go back farther, it's typically been announced in early to mid-September.

I would vote for July 21. I guess no one is around in August.

For those who care about the intention of this thread, can we re-set on what we (think) know: HOME Harvard Iona UNH AWAY UMass URI FDU Siena NEUTRAL Manhattan LaSalle/Towson If we play a 29 game schedule, that would leave 2 games remaining. We haven't confirmed the usual Sacred Heart game yet; no sure if the Maine or Q series were continuing. Add Albany to the home OOC slate.

Sacred Heart is 11/10. I also believe Q is a definite.

If true, 3 days earlier than last season's first game

If true, 3 days earlier than last season's first game First allowable date for games is the second Friday of November. That is November 10th this year. Last year it was November 11th. HC chose not to open until Sunday the 13th.

Unlike last year, the reported OOC sked, save for maybe Umass and URI, looks rather unappealing. BUT, given how undersized and inexperienced this team appears, a one year pass on booking any 'name' guarantee games is understandable.
Hope I'm wrong but unless one of the rookies really, really surprises it's gonna be a long year.

The team has players who are: 6'10" 6' 9" 6' 8" 6' 7" 6' 6" HC lost players who were: 6"11" 6' 7" 6' 6" 6' 2" 6' 0" 5'10" How has the team become "undersized?"

To me it will be no surprise if 2 or more of them become strong contributors as freshmen
