I don't know why it was failing, but I think the sod was laid down less than a week ago, as I remember seeing it being on loaded on the webcam on Wednesday or Thursday last week, so I think it's a bit early to say it's not doing well.

Probably just needs some Worcester snow which is rich in nitrogen, a great fertilizer. Learned that in Syracuse. Once the snow melted, all the lawns looked like putting greens. Of course, we only saw the green grass for about a month each year.
