Escobar had a great summer of '16 on the Cape, throwing in the mid 90s. He hurt his arm at some point before or during this college season limiting his effectiveness. Good luck to him, hope this works out

just checked on these guys. Critelli hitting .243 in 36 games with one homer and 6 doubles. Looks like Escobar was released after 10 relief appearances and an 8.21 era. (Something seemed to be wrong with his arm this spring during our season).

Was planning on seeing Escobar in Traverse City on 8/2---about a 35 mile trip from Glen Arbor. Called ncaam on my way there to see if he was still on the roster. A computer check said "yes" but a call to the ballpark by ncaam confirmed that he was no longer on the team. Ncaam saved me a wasted trip for which I owe him major thanks. Escobar's last outing on 7/25 was a rocky one---part of a 15 run inning against the Beach Bums.
