Are we forgetting George Kaftan? I believe he played in the NBA finals with the Knicks

Right you are. George Kaftan played in the 1952 NBA Finals for the Knicks vs George Mikan's Minneapolis Lakers.
Kevin Stacom is booted off the list.
It's Kaftan, Cooz, Heinsohn and Malcom.

I believe the topic was NBAChamp Kaftan’s Knicks lost twice in the finals

The peach baskets keep moving. You are right. Kevin Stacom is booted back onto the list and the late, great Dr. George Kaftan is gently removed.

Above all else, he needs an injury free summer.

Some interpreted Togo as the 4th since he was on the Celts roster at the start, but not the end of a championship season

As I wrote three names of HC NBA champs were mentioned - Cousy, Heinsohn and Miller. Who was the fourth NBA champ from HC? Dr. Kaftan did not win a championship with the Knicks. So the list of the four HC NBA champs must be: Cousy, Heinsohn, Stacom and Miller. I don't see another Cousy, the Great or Heinsohn at HC, ever. But, hey, ya' never know. LoveHC Malcolm's situation could be duplicated as far as making an NBA team especially if our new coach has an uncanny eye for spotting high academic kids with undeveloped potential. Once you are in the NBA you have a three percent chance or so of getting a ring each year. So yeah, unlikely in our lifespan😋

You make it sound so difficult. The other night during one of the debates, one of the candidates said that his area had a 1 in a 1,000 year flood followed the next year by a 1 in a 500 year flood. So, stats and actuaries aren't always accurate predictions. I'm counting on another Crusader getting another championship ring in the NBA or NFL well before my ashes are put in the urn!

There is a hook open next to the one Ted Williams is hanging on, so you are a long way from the urn young man.😝

Given we are talking about the NBA it is a credit to the players and HC that Cooz, Heinsohn, Togo and Malcom all graduated. I assume Stacom graduated from PC. Did players have to sit a year after transferring back then? I don't recall him doing so. Yes he did sit out a year, was HC class of 1973, with me, then played for PC in 72-73 and again in 73-74. Can't say he did or didn't graduate.

Unless the Raptors have a plan B to replace Kawhi, MM may have a good chance at more playing time now.

Unless the Raptors have a plan B to replace Kawhi, MM may have a good chance at more playing time now. I know we love our purple-tinted glasses around here, but you don't replace Kawhi Leonard with Malcolm Miller.
That's a bit of cart-before-horse there. The article said that the Raptors simply hold an option on his contract, and they're sending him to the summer league again, which is generally a indication that a guy still has something to prove. He should get some real burn in summer league, and he can really help his case by lighting it up there.

All I said was a chance at more playing time, certainly not replacing Kawhi

NBA is a tough league Raptors went from champs to a middle/bottom team in the East overnight. At this point not a lot of available talent to try and replace Kawhi. Thankfully didn't go to Lakers the upcoming season will be as competitive as the league has been for some time.
