Not much to report.... Good size group of young kids were doing full court drills on the last day of the basketball day camp. Recognized both AB and CN. AB was sitting at a table at mid court with a couple of others and CN was helping out with the drills. Only stayed for about 10 minutes.

HCFC45, Thanks. Even small glimpses are welcome at this time of year.

Eager to see how the area around the statue will be landscaped. Would love one day to see a statue of Fr. Hart flanking the entrance. Two great men.

It may be a very good idea, but statues of named Jesuits in the United States are very rare. So rare, that their number may be a handful or less. Fr, Marquette is the most honored with statues, having at least several. Georgetown, the oldest Catholic institution, has none. It does have a statue of John Carroll though. Bas relief bronzes are relatively more common. You might try for that. As it is, I believe Fr. Hart is the only Jesuit at HC, who was not a president of the college, to have a building named after him. ___________________________________ Edited to correct my statement above. Wheeler was not a president of the college. His highest achievement seems to have been prefect of discipline.

Fenwick and Beaven named for bishops. Hogan, O'Neill, Luth, Millard, Smith. Figge, Joyce, Hiatt for benefactors. Stein basically for the Hiatts. IMO, Williams for his leadership.

Somewhere I probably have a picture of it, but in the lobby, there is a plaque (don't recall if explicitly bas relief) of Fr. Hart. He deserves a statue!
