Loyola beat Duke yday 16-11 in Baltimore, and in a huge upset Navy just upset Yale in New Haven 13-10 (the Eli were ranked in the top 10 all season). in an equally big upset Towson knocked off Denver in Colorado 10-9.

Good for the Patriot League! It is nice to hear folks say we are in one of the country's best lax leagues, but it is better to see actual evidence of it.

It is nice to hear folks say we are in one of the country's best lax leagues, but it is better to see actual evidence of it. More evidence can be seen in the fact that both Loyola and Navy had a tougher time in the PL semis than they did playing the #3 and #8 ranked teams in the NCAA tournament over the weekend. In the PL semis, Navy got blown out by Army, while Loyola needed some luck to beat Bucknell in OT.

Kind of has a little feeling of 2012 to it, although that year Lehigh couldn't pull off the win at home against Maryland after Colgate rallied to win at previously unbeaten UMass. Huge wins for both programs and great to see.
Loyola-Denver would've been very intriguing to watch.

clear evidence that lax is the pl's best sport on the national stage. loyola will play in the final four after today's 10-8 win over towson. navy gave brown a major scare with that narrow loss at brown on saturday

The average attendance of 570 was not bad, but what was it this year? "Not bad " ? compared to what ? Colgate basketball! And it must be the same guy counting heads at Colgate lacrosse and basketball. In 2013, they averaged 496 in basketball and 485 in lacrosse! With the larger field, it must be harder to tell who was at the game and who was just walking by in lacrosse. Sorry. I couldn't resist, but when you groove a fastball ....

The average attendance of 570 was not bad, but what was it this year? "Not bad " ? compared to what ? Other teams with annual losing records. In 2013, HC was up to 7-8 after a 5-10 season in 2012. This year with HC's level of play clearly coming up, the team averaged 909 at home games.

The average attendance of 570 was not bad, but what was it this year? "Not bad " ? compared to what ? Take a look at attendance in a lot of Division I sports at schools outside the Autonomy 5 and you're not going to see many gangbuster numbers.
