No worry for PL members. More likely we have psu and cuse home and home again.

No way Navy drops that far down after they have had such success against strong comp Army would not want their alums to see a drop down, even further behind Navy

However, Army West Point alums do want to see Army wins. In their opinions (at least the one's with whom I have spoken) they have been far too few in recent seasons.

The USMA grads I knew during their CUSA days bemoaned the playing of non-traditional opponents. Also, the older grads were a bit delusional (thinking they should still be playing a top-20 schedule), missed the traditional ND, Penn State,Syracuse - type rivalries, and of course would not even consider an FCS move.
Current USMA scheduling seems to mix some traditional opponents with some rich recruiting areas (plus an FCS game). May be the recipe for West Point success.

their mix this season includes their fcs game sep.1st vs. fordham, and a trip to columbus, oh. sep 16th to face the buckeyes. Will be interesting if there is a return game played somewhere such as Giants Stadium.

OK, if we are speaking about the unknown future...any chance the academies might shift to PL football? I know it is FCS, but - at least for a while - it could mean both of them in the FCS playoffs. I wonder if the PL members would welcome such a move? Better chance of Holy Cross getting invited to the Big East tonight than of Army and Navy dropping to FCS and joining the PL in football anytime in the next 20 years. Only way such a move would be remotely possible would be if some kind of P5/G5 split happens and the power conferences form their own separate division. And even then, it probably wouldn't happen.
