How about BC, Syracuse and Navy ? If Holy cross gets appreciably more money from them than UConn, yes. Would think other non northeast opponents pay even far better. Need to capitalize on FBS games to maximize revenue intake. UConn payout is likely very small time.

UConn is actually a very cost-effective way to pocket a check for a quarter million dollars with very limited expenses involved in coming or going. In addition it is accessible for the majority of Holy Cross alumni and fans and the game has the potential of being competitive.
Not exactly sure what you are proposing but would you prefer that we try and schedule Washington State or Texas A&M just to pocket a bigger check? By definition those out-of-region games are far more expensive for us to travel to, less accessible for alumni and fans and have the potential to be a blowout especially at this point in our reintroduction of scholarships. In addition the power 5 conferences seem to be phasing out games against FCS opponents.
I actually think that the new athletic director has done a great job with scheduling Northeast-centric games against traditional rivals that make sense and are attractive for our fan base.

We need to crawl before we walk and walk before we run. I am perfectly fine with UConn this year.

The UConn fans have discovered our board (although somewhat dismissive of us in our appraisal of UConn football, they were surprised that we had an an active board at our level). the-boneyard.com/forums/uconn-football.2/
