Which player are you MOST excited to see play next year at HC? Answer it based on your own criteria (and please share it) and include your write-in vote if applicable.

Some tough choices, but a 4-way tie was not an option.

I said Cohen, if only because excited in this context means at fresh blood and seeing how he can contribute. As to the others, I expect big things from each.
Cheers

Since this poll asks only for personal opinion, there are no wrong answers. Also, the four players clearly have talent and there are no "bad choices." This is my favorite type of poll.

Tyrone I am always anxious to see our highly rated frosh whom I have not see much, and obviously not at all in college especially when they are from nyc

I voted for Karl. The kind of frosh season he had tends to be a precursor to the kind of career we haven't seen since Simmons. I can't wait to see if he's got that kind of a leap coming.

By the way: I LOVE this new mechanism where you cannot see the results until you have submitted your own vote--great idea

I voted for Karl.
In addition to the typical improvement between freshman & sophomore year, I think the academic adjustment from High School to HC as pretty significant for all students, never mind the athletes. Add Karl's late recruitment and commitment to HC and I suspect his head was spinning a lot more than the typical BB recruit from April until at least Christmas.
With a chance to exhale this summer and time focus primarily on his game, I'm anxious to see how big that jump from Frosh to soph may be.

I went with Malachi because in the PL tournament and NCAA he took his game to a new level...and kept it there. I want to see how he will handle the extra attention he may get next year and just how much his teammates can benefit from that (especially RC).

PS: I like the way the graphic develops to reveal the current choices once you have voted. It does draw attention.

Champion vote here.
That kid - beyond 'the shot' - really took over the team down the stretch on both ends of the court. As my Dad used to say, the kid's got moxy

I voted 'other'... AT/MH, one or both are keys for next season... KC, MA & RC will likely lead in minutes and other stats, but we need solid performance from these two seniors. I would like to see TC be the x factor in the PL tournament.

I voted for Alexander as I believe he will take the team to another league championship.

Champion. If he can establish an effective postup, it will add greatly to the team. I'm assuming he will continue to jump shoot, slash and bound. He is quite versatile.

Remember, just because you are most excited by the one player you select...it does not mean you are not excited to see each and every one of the others as well. As I said earlier...there are no bad choices in this poll.

Malachi, I think he's going to be even more amazing. Ok time to watch the Lehigh game again ...

I voted Malachi cause I just love the way he goes about his business (will really miss him when he's done). Came really close to voting Other, as a Ziggy/JF combo vote. I'm on record as saying Ziggy will take a big step next year, and of course, JF has so much raw potential.
Itching for the season to start already!

Rob Champion..He did so much at the end of the season, I'm anxious to see if he can build upon last season. Plus I'd love to see him become the 3 point shooter we all have been looking for!

I'm excited to see them all, but when forced to choose one, I went with Karl. While I expect that both Rob and Malachi will step things up next year, they've each had 3 years under their belts. I am hopeful for improvement but an order of magnitude is probably asking too much. I think we might get order of magnitude improvement after a freshman year that far exceeded my expectations

While his game improved much last season on the court, my impression was that Rob grabbed the leadership of this team and that was his greatest contribution and more so than any single shot he made . . . . yes, even that one!

I respectfully disagree, hoops. I've been watching this young man take more and more leadership each passing game this year. The shot was the capper. His enthusiasm and energy are, IMO, unparalleled on the team and gets the rest of the team "juiced up."
Again, that's my opinion and you certainly can feel otherwise.
