Sorry to break into your picks thread - but I can't remember a weekend with tougher opponents for the PL. Fordham, Lafayette, Bucknell are clearly overmatched and Colgate and HC have to play very well to have a chance. GU is the only favorite No worries...people are more than welcome to chime in here and discuss their picks, thoughts about the upcoming games etc etc. Makes things more interesting actually imo. And I agree...this has to be the toughest OOC week for the PL evah, top to bottom. I wouldn't want it any other way though. As it is oft said: "To be the best, you have to play and beat the best."

This is a tough week.
Yale Georgetown E. Washington Nova W&M Buffalo UNH (I hope I'm wrong but they're really, really good).

Lehigh--- Lehigh played Villanova tough and lost big to a Monmouth team that is likely better than many thought. Yale was 3-7 last year and I'll bank on no extraordinary improvement. Georgetown- Marist got blasted by Bucknell and then whipped a weak Stetson team. Georgetown is better than the horrendous team it was for years and should get boosted by the hundreds of home fans in the seats Eastern Washington--Don't know the status of Edmonds, but the embarrassing slaughter at Army leads one to believe that Fordham is not that strong. E Wash is 0-2, but lost to two tough squads Villanova--This will be ugly, very ugly Wm & Mary---William & Mary was not crushed by UVA but also did not dominate a mediocre Norfolk State team. Still, I think Bucknell will have a hard time scoring with its anemic offense and W&M will prevail at home Buffalo- Buffalo was 2-10 last year and is 0-2 this season. However, Buff lost by only 7-17 at Big 10 Minnesota and by 17-21 @ Army. Colgate may the best team in the PL (hopefully we'll help decide against that) but Buffalo is the choice. New Hampshire-- The Crusaders can win this, but I think UNH is justifiably favored. Their running game is tough

Here's how the prognosticators have lined up to date:
Yale 9 vs 18 Lehigh This one really surprises me--though Lehigh would get 90% + of the selections Marist 3 vs 24 Georgetown Eastern Washington 22 vs 5 Fordham Lafayette 0 vs 27 Villanova Bucknell 1 vs 26 William & Mary Colgate 4 vs 23 Buffalo New Hampshire 18 vs 9 Holy Cross

Lehigh Georgetown Eastern Washington Villanova William&Mary Buffalo Holy Cross (My upset pick, the other PP has a Golden Helmet kind of day)
Bonus pick Notre Dame. If that other team wins, I am swearing off a lot of vices.

Yale three plays, a TD. Would have had a TD on the first play except the receiver stumbled and fell. Lehigh defense looks very porous.

Perhaps Yale's defense will be as weak...or more so.

Now 14-0. Hoped Lehigh could take advantage of Yale's opening game. Know PL is down this year but 0-3 would be a disaster for Lehigh in the national rankings.

Dartmouth up on mighty Stetson 10-7 at the half.
At the half, Dartmouth no passing game, entire offense is rushing. Stetson has no rushing game.
