I find that guards at 6'4" and 6'5" who can score and rebound make me MOST hopeful this could be a strong year for team "development."

Caleb Green really looked good this AM..He sees the whole floor and gets the ball into the right spot..Butler can shoot it..This group of freshman are long! They will take up a lot of space on D!...Stevens looks like he has lost the "baby fat" and turned lean..Perkins stood out to me, he finished around the rim and moved very well...Charles showed a move to his right and a finish! I think this team will improve all season and be a good solid team come PL tourney time..Only time will tell!

Thanks, Di Good news. Did Charles finish the move with his right hand ? Did the other frosh look as if they could contribute this season ?

One in and one out if my memory is clear...He is working on it! the other frosh all looked good..One or 2 will play, they are for the most part long...It will be an interesting season I think....MZ is recovering from a patela bruise, he will be out another week or so...Other than him, all seem healthy!

Thanks again. Sorry to pester you with all my questions, but.. I am intrigued by your stating that one or two of the frosh will play. I guess from your comments that they would be Butler and Green. Thus will Stevens get big minutes with Floyd ? Some frosh Big will have to be at least the first front court sub, no ?

Thus will Stevens get big minutes with Floyd ? Some frosh Big will have to be at least the first front court sub, no ? With 6 frosh, half the team, a few of them will have to get some minutes...I think Green and Butler both looked good today, and I also think Stevens has improved, just based on his body shape now vs last year...However, Coach Carm and his staff will get to see all of the players for about 40 practices before a game is played, and I'm confident they can make the best decisions on playing time! We got to see the frosh play for about 40 minutes, their first time in front of their home fans, maybe 50 people...Not much of a sample to make judgments on.. Be patient and support this group, it will be together for 2 seasons!!

Was really interesting looking at such a different group......in many ways a brand new team! So many guys in that 6-4 to 6-8 range, had to really focus at first on making out who was who. Echo DiMarz's observations. I also liked Grandison; showed an ability to knock down jumpers, as well as putting it on the floor. KC definitely finished one of those right handed drives, and looked quite strong doing it. He played on the skins team, and it looks like he has less body fat than i have in my arthritic big toe. The guy right now I'm most excited about is Marcellis. We should all say a little prayer for continued health for him. He could be a real wildcard. The one word I think of to describe him is smooth - he hit several perimeter shots; had a couple of nice baselne drives, and finished around the hoop as well. Caleb was quite impressive as well. As a funny little anecdote: the men's basketball locker room tour was not on the official itinerary, but Coach Kennedy let us guys in. I won't mention names, but we took a couple of the guys by surprise. One rushed to pull up a pair of shorts; another looked like he saw a ghost as he came out of the shower.

It looks like at least some of the roster height/weight numbers were updated at some point. For instance, JS is now listed as 6-10/247, and JF 6-8/247. Beefing up the frontcourt profiles, perhaps? Who has the elongater(sp)?

JF is listed at 6-7 212 on both the frosh and soph year rosters. Now 6-8 226 It would appear that Zignorski has also added some bulk (170-184)
