Wish I was there. I have gotten the opportunity to meet and spend time with Dr. Golden on several occasions. Just straight HC man; all class.

Is Scopetski the guy who played in all the alumni games with the Shamrocks helmet? I remember thinking the first time I played against him (late 90's) that he must of been very special in his prime.

It is and he is. Very "colorful" guy with lots of stories. He was pretty much a beast at LB as I recall and telling Greco and Giardi stories and trying to recruit Lamb, Wilson and others back for alumni games.
Looked like he could still play though he must be 70.

There are certainly many Grieco stories, and even more Giardi ones

Major props to Joe Bertoletti, Dan Mercurio, and Chris Boscherini in the Athletics Office for producing this fabulous video of the Ring of Honor festivities at the reception in Hogan Ballroom this past Saturday. Lots of great memories and a fabulous walk down memory lane with Mark and Jerry Anderson, Denny Golden, and Dave Murphy. September 16, 2017 . . . truly a great day to be a Crusader. Congratulations once again to the honorees. #LetsWin

Suspect that td128 trying to give us a YouTube link for perhaps Dennis Golden's speech. Not on my computer now but suspect too many characters before and after the link, otherwise I would try to experiment to find.

'teamer,
Thank you very much but rest assured all of this is an entire team effort. As Crusaders everywhere know, "teamwork makes the dream work." That said, our "better to ask for forgiveness than permission" modus operandi in the early days of our efforts helped us gain traction and begin to move the needle.
Let's continue to elevate our commitment to excellence in all we do both on and off the field.

There's some articles floating around about him in cyberspace. He played semi pro football (yes, the Marlborough Shamrocks!) until Age 61...found another team when the Shamrocks folded, even.
