I think it's fairly safe to say that at this juncture, on paper, no one in the PL is bettah than HC....not that we will necessarily run the table in the PL but we should have a decent chance in every PL game.
Starting to think our friends at Lehigh, Fordham and now Colgate might not have been hyperbolic in stating that there was something wrong with PL football in Year 5 of schollies....these early scores today are distressing from a league standpoint.
Does Lehigh have the worst defense in the D-1 football universe?
Nah. Little Sisters of the Poor U. is worse.
I'm surprised by Furman putting up the points. 0-3 heading into Hamilton.
And Bryant. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
Penn put up 63 on Lehigh, Furman 45 on Colgate.
The preseason poll.
The Mountain Hawks (9-3, 6-0 in 2016) finished with a League-high 70 points and 11 first-place votes, a season after winning its eighth League title and first since 2011. Fordham (8-3, 5-1) picked up the remaining three first-place votes and 61 points after a second-place finish last season. Colgate (5-5, 4-2) was picked to finish third with 54 points, while Holy Cross (4-7, 2-4) finished with 39 and Bucknell (4-7, 3-3) finished with 36.
Penn over Lehigh 65-47 Bryant over Fordham 45-40 Furman over Colgate 45-14 Columbia over Georgetown 35-14
PL 0-4 thus far with the PL giving up 195 points in the 4 games (ouch!)
I think I was in a bit of denial with my picks this week...I could see PL was weak from the last three weeks...I just could not process how weak we (PL) are. It is not just Ivy, CAA or FBS smacking us (PL) around this year.
