HC favored but only by 2 1/2 pts. Dartmouth has a very tough defense. We will have to play well up there to come away with a W.

I think most of this was posted on the Dartmouth thread - started on 9/17.

Interesting preview of Holy Cross...but we are not the "Patriots" as it says there. We are also not the Knights (as the announcers on TV3 said during the second half of the UNH game - but they did correct themselves, saying "still the Crusaders and not yet the Knights"). I guess "Crusaders" is not a real problem if no one knows that is our nickname. Apparently Dartmouth will be getting a few injured players back this week after they did not play against Stetson. I wonder if any of HC's wounded will be returning this week.

UNH is much better than Dartmouth, right ?
Relax, as long as PP stays healthy HC is going to keep rolling....simple as that.

I agree...but I also worry...a habit practiced for many years Last year Dartmouth pounded HC and won by the biggest score in a long time - the 25 point margin of victory (35-10) was the biggest over HC since 1997. Perhaps it is time for some payback.

I think we kinda paid back UNH and would expect that there is even more incentive against Dartmouth since they were the ones that broke Peter's leg and things went down hill in a hurry last season. The announcers said that the new assistant coaches are highly motivated and motivational for the players and I have seen in all 3 games to date that they are playing so much sharper than not only last year but the last few years.
Of course, anything can happen but I would think the guys are really motivated for this one.

Stetson is pretty bad...just started (or restarted) football, so you almost can't take anything away from that game.
If we continue to play D the way we have, I think we'll be OK. Always tough to win on the road though.

This is a very big game imo. I realize they are all "big" and that we only play 11 of these most years, but this game has that feel of a pivotal game in that a win gets us to 3-1 with Lafayette (Homecoming) next up; whereas a loss leaves us still middling, literally at 2-2.
A win ovah the Big Green Saturday would also be our first 3-game winning streak since the Year of Our Lord 2009.

Oh and Dartmouth scores late to make it seems closer than it actually is. This one is all HC, right from the kickoff. Dartmouth would do better if this game were later in the season.

What a waste of money, grey, black, anything that is not the school colors. Home and away is all that is needed 2 unis

I doubt that any sales of HC's grey will come anywhere near paying for the team unis.

If it helps attract more fans, it could be money well spent.

I doubt that many if any fans come for the colors of the unis.

Studies of fans show they like uniform variety and it can promote sales of jerseys. I have spent a considerable amount of time in Oregon. This generation of Duck fans love the variety and the surprise of game day. I am in favor of the grey uni's, they are sharp and well designed. Look at the detail in the Jerseys, they are well made. I did not have problems with reading the numbers with my binoculars.

It might be that it's costing us next to nothing. Does anyone here know the details of the deal we just signed with Adidas ? Would not be surprised if there's a clause in their about the number of unis each season, esp with with trend toward more than just two. I trust Nate on this one.
