Why couldn't he have the class to resign now "for the good of the players, the team, and this fine university" !

Pitino: The University took the action they thought was necessary and I will do the same."

Will the players who accepted $$$ or were involved in such negotiations (don't know where Koprivka fits in) be banned from NCAA basketball or prosecuted for tax evasion (those who did get $$$)?

Knowing what he had in Sherborn in the 90s, (and you can buy a lot more house in Louisville, I'm sure), I bet it's an opulent palace

Hey. Ricky provides nothing but the best for his wife when he's on the road ... or out to dinner.

Yes, you get a lot of house for the $$$ here in the Ville. I think I've seen the house, a big crib with a really spiffy outdoor basketball court, when dropping a daughter off at a friend's house years ago. I like my place so I won't be one of the bidders for Rick's.

Rick is getting paid $14,000 per day while he is on suspension and that may last until April 30, 2018 per an article in today's print C-J. The UL Athletic Association members voted unanimously yesterday to initiate the firing process. There are four ways the university "is empowered to push for termination of Pitino with cause: a material violation of his contractual obligations; disparaging media publicity that damages the name of the university; a major conference or NCAA violation; or dishonesty, criminal activity, or acts of depravity." He claims that he did nothing wrong and will be vindicated......

He will also be unemployed...at least until someone else wants to win at all costs and to give up institutional integrity to do that.
