There was a blatant hold on the Yale td but they call the penalty on HC.

We may not come out of the locker room in the second half. Seems like the sideline has packed it in.

I don't want to hear that the PL is scholar-athletes. We have no athletes.

Yale is going to end up shutting us out by 7 or 8 td's. The players look lethargic out there.

Even the announcers comment on how our DB's play off the receivers! Same old story year in and year out!
HC senior #65 having a really bad day!!!
Where's the team that I saw at UCONN and UNH?

The worst half of offensive football since...? We had fewer than 50 yards of total offense.

The players seem dead. No fight in them today it seems. Something is going on that we may not be aware of. This is not the same team we saw at UConn, Bucknell and the UNH and Dartmouth games. Something weird has happened here. Must be

everyone has made good points, but let's look at them all and see where they point: the QB is struggling, the O line is playing poorly, the DB's are too off. Doesn't this all point to a team in disarray? And whose responsibility is that. It is Tom Gilmore's responsibility. May I ask if any of you performed this way on your job, would your boss say, let's wait until the end of the year? I doubt it. I know I would be gone at end of the business day.
And let's keep in mind this was supposed to be the year, with 5 fifth year seniors we were going to be strong.

Yale's a good and well-organized Ivy team with superior talent and a superior game plan hitting their stride. It may be that simple.
If we really did bring in talented recruits the last two years (I am not thinking QB), I'd say we should be seeing them on the field. And they should be making an impact. Sort of like what is going on at Columbia. Maybe the assumption our recruiting has taken off is a wrong one.
Suspect Yale will try to score one or two more and then work on ball control.

Wish I had the link to the interview with CTG in preseason when he said that "PP is the best QB that HC has had in DECADES, DECADES"!
This team IS in disarray and to be honest, I think they have packed it in! Horrible effort there in the first half!
Even if for some strange reason, they turn it on and win the PL, which I doubt very much, IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE AND CLEAN HOUSE!!!

Hard to say this, but this may well be the worst half of football I have ever seen from HC (including last year at Yankee stadium). There are some thing that contribute, such losing two starting players in the defensive secondary in last week's game, but that does not explain the overall thumping we are taking from Yale. Yale is a good club (we knew that) but watching today, if it were the first time, I would wonder if this team would win a single game this year. The second half is important...not to get a win (I believe that is impossible today, down by 4 scores) but to see if HC can regain some pride and self-respect with better overall effort.

We are looking at losses to Colgate next week for sure, Lehigh and Fordham will also probably beat us. We may beat Georgetown. We are looking at 3-8. This is with PP Yale and Harvard will be beating up on us now for years. Navy, Syracuse, BC and a revitalised UCONN in a few years. Not pretty !!

Going forward the players should be less concerned about their uniforms and more concerned about the game plan.

Next few years will be rebuilding years for HC given all the seniors (redshirt and otherwise) in key positions who will be graduating. Our Frosh and sophs essentially not good enough to start on this team? That is the scary fact in all of this.

We’re not where we need to be and there are no more viable excuses. Weakness of staff and personnel, highly competitive schedules, and a relatively week league indicate we might be heading into a long, dark winter of discontent for Holy Cross football. Things have not gone according to plan and the Luth Athletic Center isn’t going to fix it by a long shot. Very disheartening. Imagine how the players feel.
We’re down to administrative Hail Mary time. What will our AD do tonight? Tomorrow? Next week? Next month? I will follow with interest. Will we even be Crusaders anymore? Now is the time where leaders rise. Again, I will follow with interest.

Rebuilding what? It's addition by subtraction with new players cycling in. We won't be good next year with a new staff but we won't be worse than a 3 win team. Look at the bright side, we're at ground zero. Start building tomorrow morning.
