Starts with a MUCH overdue coaching change.....we may not win for awhile, but a with new staff, new outlook etc. there will at least be some hope on the horizon. To further this debacle under this regime would be uttah insanity.
As others have stated, the only bright/good news is that we have invested heavily into the program....I doubt HC (as an institution) would continue on this path with the millions of dollars outlayed toward its future.

New coach, new qb next year. We won't be worse. One would think we won't be worse but that is a lot of seniors we are losing. I've been trying to make the point that our younger recruits on the bench might not necessarily be better than the graduating seniors (redshirt and otherwise) next year. Agreed we really can't be much worse mathematically next year. Heck, we may still take out a couple of PL (weak) teams this year. With a very weak PL again next year, PL title is always a possibility no matter what changes are made.

Why are we never fair catching these punts. We let them all roll inside the 5. Step up and fair catch the damn ball on the 20. Fundamentals my friends. Fundamentals are totally lacking.

1) EMBARRASSING
2) I disagree we don't have players. At this point in this season (at same point last season) they are completely disengaged. The program has a negative energy to it. There is zero enthusiasm from anyone. The 4th and 1 call against Lafayette stuck a dagger in the heart of all the players. Season was over then and there.
3) I disagree a new coaching staff can't turn it around. Look at Lafayette. There isn't one person on this planet that can tell me they have better players then we do. The new coaching staff has brought solid coaching and enthusiasm to the program. This can bring a team to win games they shouldn't win. What we have now, and last season, is a staff that takes a team that should win and leads them to lose.

The last time I saw a Holy Cross team look at this lethargic while playing Ivy League opponents, the whole team came down with hepatitis !

If we’re going to lose to the PL and IL we might as well see if we can join the CAA. Maybe with a few more schollies, non-medical redshirting, and looser admissions we can maybe at least beat some of our long term rivals, even if we do poorly in conference play.

This poor guy hits more posts than any kicker in history. Its almost worth it to him being one of those youtube trick shot guys and make some money. On a side note, we have been ATROCIOUS on special teams this season as well....

I am super frustrated with those who say our athletes can’t compete with Yale or anyone else on our schedule.
These are the same athletes who decisively defeated UNH, one of the best FCS programs in the country every year
Football is a game of emotion.
Athletically we are fine
Mentally we are a hot mess. Leadership starting with HCTG has been and is terrible.
The missed extra point at Dartmouth drove a stake through the heart of this team. Then the play calling against Lafayette was the nail in the coffin
They are the same athletes who should have beaten UConn, beat UNH and beat (except for an extra point ( I was at a HS game yday and the kicker made six in a row) BEAT Dartmouth.
I am not above criticizing 20 year olds who are getting for free something that others are paying a quarter of a million bucks for but in the case of HC football it is lack of inspiration and lack of leadership.
I have never liked coaches who scream”you stupid MFer” at a player or assistant.
Clearly I won’t be hearing that voice on the HC sidelines next year
On some level I really feel sorry for hm but I feel much worse for the players whose memories are of losing.
I “Our athletes aren’t good enough.” HOGWASH

Tired tale....and it's not all on it but PL football killed the program at Holy Cross. A goal of " Competitive in the Patriot League" can lead a good program to becoming a poor football program. After all, we've been "competitive in the Patriot League' this year (1 win and 1 very close loss) and right now one could charitably call us a poor football program. That is not the only reason we are looking like a poor football program.

What was the point in kicking the fg there? Just playing for the win instead of the tie. When you're down 32, best you can do with 4 TDs is tie. When you get the 3 there, you can win with 4 TDs.
