Absolutely....having been both a "critic" and one who has been criticized myself as a coach/player, I much prefer to be in the arena.
I thank Coach Gilmore for all the blood, sweat and tears he gave Holy Cross. I am certain he will find future success wherever and whatever he ends up doing.

...whatever things he did wrong was compounded by him being one of the unluckiest coaches to ever walk the sidelines. Dartmouth, Albany and Wagner were nearly "un-losable" situations off the top of my head.

Sometimes, for reasons hard to define, a good coach starts losing and to start wining again he just needs a change of scenery. Things run their course. Vaas did just fine after HC.

Well said, all around. I remember a number of posts after both the Dartmouth and Lafayette "games" expressing a desire for Gilmore to be relieved of his duties but perhaps to move to a senior position at the College. I think we are all grateful for his dedication. I wish him well in whatever his future holds.
