Has anyone, namely recruiting guru Breezy, heard whether any commit has decommitted ? or has any recruit taken us off his list ?

Have to imagine some guys are at least re-engaging in the recruiting process while waiting to see what our new staff looks like.

Certainly, one of the first things the new coach will have to do is to engage with our verbal commits and our offerees to secure another solid recruiting class. As far as I know, none of our verbal commits have decommitted thus far.

Perhaps the current staff has reached out already, or will so very soon.

Perhaps the current staff has reached out already, or will so very soon. I'd think the current staff would have reached out 1 minute after hearing about the new interim coach

How reassuring can it be to an offeree to get a call from an assistant who worked for a head coach who was fired knowing that a new head coach may 1. Not honor the offer and 2. The assistant who reached out to you might get fired too as soon as the new guy comes on board?
Certainly we should reach out to them but you'd have to be a darn good salesman to be able to convince an offeree who wants to go to Holy Cross that his place is secure should he want to accept the offer.
As as an aside, with 6 losses, we officially have another losing season.

My personal feeling is that recruits who have made verbal commitments and those presently uncommitted who are considering HC have several considerations in mind -- HC's academic reputation (including specific majors), the new facilities, future schedules, etc. A change in the coaching staff may well be a consideration for some, but I think most will wait to have contact with the new head coach before making a final decision. There is no general rule that applies to all. Certainly, the current staff has as one of its responsibilities keeping in communication with the recruits in the interim, but except perhaps in rare instances I think a recruit does not make the decision based on a relationship with a recruiting coach or a position coach.
My personal hope is that recruits do not make decisions based on posts on the school's message board. There certainly has been a bit of weeping and gnashing of teeth on this board over the past few weeks, and if it has made any impact on potential recruits, it would not be a positive one.
As Harry Truman reportedly said, "I never say never, because never is a hell of a long time." My personal feeling is that with the commitment to the new facilities and to scheduling FBS opponents, there is little likelihood that HC will abandon football in the foreseeable future. Let's see what happens as ADNP conducts his search for the new leadership for the program.
